I also wouldn't expect us to be exactly the same as Liverpool as we're not going to have super creative incredible assist machines at full backs so will need more from our midfield than Liverpool do.

Not copying recognising how they've built their team and trying to learn from it. I'd also expect us to learn from City. Lampard has said that he and the club have been looking at how City and Liverpool have built their teams. And Lampard appears much closer to Klopp in his managerial philosophy than he does Guardiola.

Look at my previous post. Personally I dont think that approach will assist us in our central issue, which is our inability to break down deep lying defences. I also hate that despite having the personnel to compete in midfield for possession with elite teams - possibly for the first time since 2010 - we are showing no interest in doing so.

I think the easiest way to break down defences is to have superb individual attacking talents. The teams that are best at it have great individual attacking players.

I have given up on him because I don't think he will break into the team.

He rarely plays because of injury, and whenever he does come back he can be slow to getting up to speed.
