I really like counter-attacking football if you can play it well
------------------------------------------------------
Same. One of my favorite teams of the last 20 years was Mourinho's Real. The goals they were capable of scoring on the counter, beautiful.

chillwells crossing is awful, any leicester fan will tell you as much

Counter attacking football is probably the elite style of play in football, soaking up all of that pressure and having the opposition thinking a goal is coming for them then bam!

Jose Mourinho: “Bruno Fernandes has proved to be a great penalty taker, one of the best in the world, because he had about 20 to score”

Jose’s at it again

----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's got a point though. Man Utd broke the record this season for most penalties ever awarded to a PL club in a season.

If that was us instead there would be public outrage lol. Nobody bats an eyelid when it's Utd though.

I have no idea really, on that or many things

I am just saying the difference between a player who can consistently cross the ball into the danger area and one who can't is probably about £80m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
was responding to mekes comment about the crossing.

and meke im not sure why, leicester fans are not too fussed if he goes, much like maguire

I did used to argue possession football is fundamentally flawed by comparison. If a team has 99% of the ball (factoring in the opposition's kick off) the match ends 0-0, a team could have 1% of the ball and win 1-0

Styles make fights. True in boxing/MMA and definitely true in football.

Yeah I was gonna say, I think Leicester are just trying to fleece somebody like they did with Maguire

23, long contract, PL proven, plays for a rich club that don't need to sell (the latter being the most important).

If Tierney wanted to leave, what price would you accept Arsenal to ask for him? £60-80m?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As much as they could get. He's a LB for Christ's sake. Anyone paying £60m is insane.

Sell sell sell.

Thomas has shown more in 3 games offensively that Chilwell in his career. Ok, slight exaggeration but he’s so overrated and underperforms too often for me not to think cashing in is not the right choice right now.

It's difficult to know what we see in Chilwell. He'd probably be OK, competent, but for that sort of money it's absurd.

We really would have been better sticking with Bertrand as I sais yesterday. Would have saved us about £150 million if we end up shelling out on Chilwell.

Chilwill stinks of a player Newcastle will splash on if the takeover goes through. Leicester will be laughing all the way to the bank.

posted on 29/7/20

Yeah Nick even keeping PVA.

We could have kept both Bertrand and PVA and had two competent LB's instead of the mess we've seen in resulting years.

Full backs are probably more vital to PL football right now than no10s or wingers. Why should they be cheaper.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fair point actually. i still think, unless you play for liverpool, others players will make more of a difference.
