Just checked la Liga table Atletico low-key bottling the point advantage they had

Big test tonight. I want revenge for our trip to Goodison where they were allowed a crowd, albeit only a couple of thousand. Still gave them an unfair advantage, even if only a marginal one.

We were awful at Goodison, never looked like scoring.

In fairness they have reason to be more optimistic. Kane back in scoring form, Jose showing more attacking intent, its a good time of the season to find some momentum.

Has the 'Mount should play in the pivot role' now been put to bed? I guess it needs Black Hawk to return and revive it

Our 14/15 side had more points at this stage than City currently do. Shows how well we started that season

I didn't. Got our pants pulled down by Bradford, outplayed by PSG with 10 men, receded into odefensive hoofball after Christmas, and it was the clearest example I have seen of trading long term legacies for instant success. The players we sold to assemble that squad which had no lasting legacy is criminal.

14/15 was a lot of fun until the Spurs game. From then on the football was not particularly good to watch, though enough to get us over the line for two trophies. Winning the league again justified it at the time, though it set the seeds for the following year’s collapse.

I went to more games that season than any other season, but almost all of them were after that turning point

Neither team did. Without the Mendy Madness it would have been stalemate. One of the most boring games in PL history.

Hope we deal with their front two better today and someone other than Mount could do with stepping up for a change.

Everton are an awful pub side in general, similar to fulham down the bottom, Everton are in a bit of a false position. Stumbled their way through games and taken chances.

You’re really underestimating Everton, Nick. Under Ancelotti they are really well drilled - they know what they’re doing. Allan, Doucoure and James is a formidable midfield, and Richardson is on fire right now, and DCL before him. At best, it will be a really hard fought game.
