So...if we were to sign one player, or a player for one position in this window....who or where would it be...?

Definitely LB/LWB is the priority, can't go on with Alonso there. Sarr did a good job at LB but he doesn't offer anything going forward.

Not sure who it'll be, I'm guessing we will not give up on Emerson until the final day

Fair points didi....you think Havertz has no future with us then...?

Pulisic Ziyech CHO Havertz & Werner all come across as lightweight in terms of what's required in the Prem...Pulisic seems the worst, & Ziyech is capable (as he showed yesterday & recently) of so much more

100% agree re. our lightweight attackers. Mount is the only one who will regularly win physical duels, or have the first touch/strength to spin away when a defender is touch tight.

And difficult to say re. Havertz. Him and Lukaku are such different players. I think Tuchel will struggle to develop a consistent style of play if we're constantly interchanging them up top. Not that we need to play in a single way - though I do think it helps attackers to have regular attacking patterns to fall back on rather than having to rely on individual brilliance.

Regardless - Havertz absolutely has to work on his finishing if he wants a future with us in up front (discounting him on the wing as it's 100% a waste of his abilities). Our wingers don't have the output of Salah or Mane, so I don't think a Firmino-type role (i.e. ST focus on link-up instead of goals) is suitable for our attack. I could possibly see him playing up top in a two, but we'd then have to sacrifice our attacking width or midfield to accommodate that.

Starting to get the feeling we're gonna ride with Alonso and Sarr for the rest of the season. Sarr offers nothing in attack at LB, but he's decent enough defensively in wide areas that we can get by

Had a horrible steak tonight

Why do places try and be fancy and go gung ho and put pepper on steak? Do they actually think it flavours it? Fackin disgusting I want steak not a mouth full of ground pepper. Don’t even really like pepper

Regular steak I’m talking about by the way not a peppercorn steak or whatever it is called

Just don’t get it

I ordered a steak not a load of ground pepper on it or other seasoning

A good steak does not need to be slightly covered in that crap

Same thing with water

I want a water, not water and a lemon. If I wanted a lemon in the glass I’d have asked for a lemon as well instead I then have to look like an oddball removing the lemon which is also nearly impossible when you’ve poured the water in already so water goes everywhere and some of the lemon ends up getting squashed into the glass subsequently anyway

So yeh I’ve now essentially got a lemon water Which I didn’t ask for

Honestly don’t get it. I don’t actually complain or bother saying anything because I’m not like that but it really does irritate me. Shouldn’t have to order a water and say but no lemon when I’m not ordering a lemon water and shouldn’t have to say yeh steak but without a load of pepper on it. Because If I wanted pepper I’d pick the pepper up that you put on the table and twist it on myself…
