lol the angle they've gone with, favourable "appealing" run in, as if we dont all play the same teams.

Man United expected to make a second bid of around £47 million for Mount apparently

We need another team to create a bidding war for Mount. Otherwise Utd will get him cheap.

Come on TT, get Bayern interested.

Would you still consider £47M cheap bearing in mind Mac Allister's just gone for £35M?

Which would you say was Mount's best season, and how far off that peak is he now?

For a player who is free next summer? What a mug club.

havertz touch is too loose for the pl, thats the biggest issue. Too lackadasical.

A poor mans berbatov.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think he's even that Nick. Berbatov was able to hold his own against PL defenders and in his pomp was a goal machine both in terms of creating and scoring. I don't see any of that from Havertz in the PL.

One bad season, so what?

And MacAllister had a clause.

I would prefer to offload for free when out of contract than cave in valuations.

Release clauses skew the perception of value. I think 50mil for Haaland was pretty cheap too, wonder how City pulled that off?

I'd leave that in Pochettino's hands if I was Boehly. If he wanted him badly enough, maybe even thought he could help change his mind on signing, I'd happily risk it & whatever happens happens.

Baring in mind that's me trying to enter Boehly's head space where up till this point he hasn't had a great deal of respect for the value of money.

Haverz is the one where, this season, I see no reason why we should compromise on our valuation? A half decent season this year & we'd get these same 50-60mil offers next year if he hasn't resigned. Very little incentive for us to cave.

I don't know how many good or bad seasons he's had, nor did I know Mac Allister had a release clause, hence the use of question marks. 🤷‍♂️

@Devil - Didn't Haaland have a release clause too? I thought it was closer to £70M, though. My guess, either way, is that even without a clause, BvB didn't hold the aces in that deal, and sums that size are a much bigger chunk of their revenues for someone like BvB than for Chelsea.

Chelsea now value Kai Havertz at £60m. Talks are proceeding well with Arsenal - confirmed. Havertz is also keen on the switch. Bayern Munich has no plans to enter the race, with a move to Real Madrid also considered unlikely (via @Plettigoal /@SkySportDE)

Chelsea will not pay’ – Club’s ‘high demands’ putting off Blues, ‘inflexible attitude’ frustrating Boehly

Chelsea remain interested in Southampton midfielder Roméo Lavia, but the Saints current ‘high demands’ are making a transfer unlikely.

That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who cover the potential transfer today and how Southampton are refusing to play ball.

They explain that Chelsea have been interested in Lavia since last year, when a broker on behalf of the club made a ‘verbal bid’ for the player following his debut in the Premier League.

That was laughed off by Southampton, but the Blues have remained keen, particularly as an ‘old acquaintance’ of the player, Joe Shields, who knows the player well from his days at Manchester City, now holds some sway at Stamford Bridge.

Increasingly of the view we should just ditch this window.

- Sell who we can sell
- Put players we don't want but can't sell in the reserves
- Fill vacant spots with the likes of Casadei, Santos, Broja

Yeah we'll finish about 8th but fack it - tired of being ripped off by other clubs and lowballed when they want our players.

Also Kovacic to City, Mount to Utd and Havertz to Arsenal is really bad business.

agree with all of that bar the last sentence.

If they don't want to be here, two who have had poor seasons and 1 who hasn't had a good season, then sell sell sell. Get the bad energy out the dressing room.

Tired of players being ballers at other clubs.

DeBruyne and Salah is bad enough.

James, Gusto, Chilwell, Maatsen
Enzo, RLC, Chukwuemeka, Casadei, Santos,
Sterling, Madueke, Mudryk, CHO
Nkunku, Broja, Fofana

If we bought no more players and sold everyone who wants to go.

Wouldn't get top four with that certainly, or top six probably, but at least I could tap out of the transfer window and see a lot of young players given a chance.
