A good manger. A couple of decent signings to fit around Palmer, and we have team on our hands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Having said this...our FFP situation is concerning. And certainly don't trust the owners to appoint a good manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently we are fine for ffp
Sold near 100m of property to ourselves so we good lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Need another £100m+ before June 30th. Likely from Hall, Maatsen, Chalobah and Gallagher unfortunately.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lukaku and Kepa hopefully have suitors somewhere

For all the shlt talking about our scouts it looks like we have a few players on our hands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same former City academy guy who picked Palmer apparently chose Lavia (also former City academy) so if he ever gets fit...

Who do u mean mate?
Out of all the players we have our best players have been palmer (English league at the champions so no scouting required), Gallagher (youth player) and the best prospect looks like a youth player again in glichrist.
It’s only really gusto as well?
Or am I missing some who have been good this year? Genuine question.

Would be pretty bloody special if we spent 1bn & didn't
Petrovic - 6
Gusto - 8
Silva - 7
Chalobah - 6
Cucurella - 6
Gallagher - 8
Caicedo - 6
Madueke - 7
Palmer - 10
Mudryk - 6
Jackson - 7
Sky showing the pen debacle. Embarrassing from Madueke and Jackson.
Crap I forgot Gallagher -8
If we'd held on for 2-1 wins vs Sheffield United and Burnley we'd have 51pts in sixth, one point ahead of seventh, with a game in hand - six points off the 5th.
Small margins in midtable.
This penalty nonsense happens with us too often. Even in the glory days of Roman, when you couldn't find a more disciplined team, I remember Drogba doing it.
Was Jackson trying to take it or get Madueke away from it?
Dele alli was spot on there. Were we these man when it was 3-3 v Utd. No one wanted to take the pen then.

Yeah we discussed last time. Drogba once got upset about a pen last game of the season when he was level with Rooney for golden boot. That's about it.
I'm not expecting any surge up the table. Clear from today that despite the large margin of victory the same issues remain in the team.
I simply do not rate Poch as a coach, and see no reason to expect any great improvement as the season comes to a close.

I think we'll improve slightly to 7th/8th, which could get Europe. But little more than that, and nothing convincing.
We got arsenal Villa and a few other tough games too. If we had beat Sheffield and Burnley I’d be confident we could even beat spurs and overtake them. But no chance now

Ah yeah the Wigan game, when he scored a hat trick & won the golden boot anyway, making it even more dumb
n) Manchester City - FA Cup Semi Final
a) Arsenal
a) Aston Villa
h) Tottenham Hotspur
h) West Ham United
a) Nottingham Forest
a) Brighton
h) Bournemouth
Nick, I still think Jackson, Madueke, Caicedo, Gusto, Enzo and Nkunku will all improve greatly for us.
If we can keep em healthy that is

Last 4 fixtures don't seem too bad
Cole Palmer has netted 20 league goals this season - the last Chelsea player to score more goals in a Premier League season was Frank Lampard in 2009-10.
————
Never knew Costa didn’t exceed 20 in PL
Still think we need that core of leaders, preferably one or two with a Cobham connection. I don't even mean world beaters, just strong characters with a connection to the club.
At one point it looked like we were building that in Lampard/Tuchel era: James, Mount, and Abraham - plus the likes of loyal stalwarts such as Azpilicueta, Kante, and Jorginho.

Costa scored bang on 20 goals in two of his three PL seasons.
Which means technically the stat is right as Costa didn't 'score more goals' than Palmer.
