might be a slight exaggeration, but was enjoyable watching him actually resemble a footballer
Archie Gray to Spurs for around £40m done. The 18 year old schooled our £200m midfield last season in the FA Cup and got MOTM. Good signing for them.
Who are we selling Gallagher to then ?

Newcastle in part exchange for Isak
Is this the FFP hack then
Clubs who are struggling sell players to each other at inflated prices. Bag the sale proceeds all as immediate revenue but spread the outgoings over several years.

I’m actually fine with that. The PL (and Uefa and FIFA for that matter) have all these arbitrary financial rules that do nothing but ensure the old establishment teams maintain their dominance. I can understand their “fit & proper” ownership rule, but if they allow the Saudi prince to buy Newcastle then they are basically saying you can be a murderer and a warmonger as long as you have loads of money.
And trying to make sure teams don’t go bankrupt is fine, but they seem to have come up with one-size-fits-all rules that don’t make sense. This PSR workaround by the clubs is actually very clever, and just shows how stupid the rules were in the first place.
Midfield question. Obviously we don’t yet know what plans Maresca has, but I was wondering about our midfield for the coming year, as we still have so many players. We may play 2 or 3 midfield players, but we currently have:
Enzo
Caicedo
Lavia (assuming he’s fit this season)
KDH (assuming all the rumours are true)
Santos (who we apparently want back this season)
But we also have:
Gallagher (presumably will be sold with KDH incoming)
Ugochukwu (who knows?)
Casadei (sold?)
Chukwuemeka? I’m not sure he counts as midfield as he’s more likely to be competing for the number 10 position.
That’s a lot of players for potentially 2 midfield slots if we play a 4-2-3-1. Who do you think will stay?

Fully expect the top 5 to stay.
Gallagher is almost certain to be sold.
Ugochukwu I think comes down to Lavia's fitness
Casadei wants to go back to Italy
Chuckwumeka will be part of the forwards.

Hell yeah. I like Gallagher but Isak would be a phenomenal signing for us.
Thoughts on the signings so far?
Transfers so far:
Omari Kellyman - FFP purchase/most likely loaned
Tosin Adarabioyo - Squad filler/Chalobah replacement
Dewsbury-Hall - Another squad filler/Maybe a decent squad option
Marc Guiu - 3rd choice striker or will be loaned
None of them improve the first team but I’m expecting at least another 3 or 4 to come in.
