John Terry on Chelsea competiting for the Premier League:
🗣 "I think we're a couple of years off. If I'm honest, I really do. I don't want that to be headline stuff, but when I look at Man City, Liverpool, I think they're stronger than us at the moment. Arsenal have been really consistent as well, and I'm sure they're going to go out and buy players as well.
So this is why securing Champions League Football next year is big for us, because getting those extra players in that have maybe got a bit of experience."
~ @talkSPORT
Terry also notes that we don't have an out ball option at the minute, target man. Sites Didier Drogba and what he offered you from a simple long ball/goal kick, and that having that option now would benefit us greatly
Aston Villa and Newcastle hold an interest in Chelsea-bound Strasbourg forward Emanuel Emegha.
~ @lequipe
Goes on to say we may send him on loan to one of them but states likelihood is he stays at Strasbourg for another season

A week later & Ange still has a job?
Spurs are gunna make the same mistake United did with ten Hag aren't they
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Levy would never live down immediately sacking a manager that actually won them a trophy but I'm sure he'll pull the trigger on Ange by Christmas if his league form doesn't improve dramatically.
Marseille are considering a move for #Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile.

Jackson will score 2-3 tonight and repay the debt
3-0 or 3-1 Anthony might get a late wonder goal consolation
Newcastle United are ready to make their first moves in a crucial summer with bids for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

Jose Mourinho: “Chelsea is a club that wants to win Champions League’s not Conference League’s but it is a trophy and to be the first club to win all 3 would be amazing” (@SkySportsNews)
🗣 John Terry: "I'm not looking to get back in at all. I'm working in the academy with Chelsea two days a week, part-time. I work with a kid, doing some mentoring with them, which I love. It’s 5 minutes around the corner for me. Chelsea's my club and always will be."

Does Guehi predominantly play RCB or LCB ?
Left but he’s right footed
Tuchel used him on the right in one of the England games last year

I have to suspect the doors that were opened for Frank were not opened for him
Simon Phillips -
Phillips says:
‘SPTC sources have learned this week that Chelsea are now considering Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku as one option for the left wing position this summer.
‘At the moment, we have heard that it is just interest and Doku is just one of many players that the club are looking at ahead of a potential move. But nothing has advanced on this yet and it’s just interest and internal discussions about it on our side.’

Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has rejected a contract offer from Chelsea, instead deciding he wants to stay at the Bundesliga side.
It is reported that Dortmund had accepted an offer in the region of £47 million from Chelsea.
I wonder if we need to change our wage offerings now we are in the CL and chasing higher level players

Maybe his time at Villa made him realise that it's not for him. Being a great football captain doesn't make you a great football manager as the likes of Tony Adams and Roy Keane before him found out.
I think he's best doing what he's doing which is being as involved as possible behind the scenes at Cobham. Helping any way he can. Having Mr Chelsea at the Chelsea training ground often works for me.

Yes i would use him on both sides as and when we need it but mainly right
He also was looking to be a manager around 2020, at peak woke and peak BLM and it's politically awkward hiring a guy found guilty by the FA of racism. Difficult PR for a guy with no track record or experience yet, so why go through the hassle.
Although half the Haven did also lose their mind in that wokery thinking about it. Randy even cracking one off over Tyrone Mings
‼️Chelsea are currently in concrete talks over Hugo Ekitike, and would like to complete the deal as quickly as possible, as they’re aware of Liverpool’s interest.
Chelsea are currently putting in the most effort.

What are the odds we get most out shopping done quickly and with little fuss? And what are they for us dragging it out and not getting our top targets cos we wouldn't pay 50p more?
I think we will. We want the signing done before the CWC starts.
