Would be so much happier if we could now spend the rest of the week selling dead wood.
We shouldn't be selling the likes of Jackson/Mads before the dead wood. And if Nicky is truthful and happy to fight, I quite like the looks of Dealp, JP and Jackson
Hold my hands up. Did not expect this from Joao Pedro for a second. Knew he was a tidy player but was worried about his decisiveness in front of goal (considering his stats).
Very early days, but the signs are good. Question for Maresca is - can he keep Pedro, Jackson and Delap all happy? Will probably need Pedro deputising on the wing or as a SS for that to happen...

Who gives a f3ck if Jackson is happy or not?
Hopefully Pedro just needed to step into a better team to break out, kinda like Raphinha's glow up at Barca
You could tell from the touches in the first game that he is elite on a technical level and has a great brain for the game

Probably need a bigger sample size that includes a PL season with us, but great start. Also think Delap has shown encouraging signs.
🗣 Enzo Maresca on Nkunku: "We tried to give them a chance when they deserve. If Christo is playing it is because he deserves.
Today, he was quite good, he had some chances where he can score but overall he had a good game."

Are we unable to use the prize money here to offset spending for the Uefa case?

I think so.
I think the basics of it were in order to register new players in CL, profits had to offset the cost of said players, but I think that was including agent fees as well.
Ill have a read, but think that was the general idea of it
Right but this prize money is profit so whats their issue
So having a glance of it there, theres nothing specific. Most of the articles refer to 'player sales' but they dont mention CWC etc, but I think that's overlooked as that will be paying for probably Delap and Pedro by the end of it.
Chelsea may not register any new player on its List A to UEFA club competitions unless the List A transfer balance is positive.” List A refers to the main squad clubs register for UEFA competitions and the cost of registering a new player takes into consideration the player’s salary and amortised transfer fee.
So this in theory refers to new signings -
Delap
Pedro
Gittens
Sarr
Santos
Essugo
Estevao
Also bare in mind that previously we didnt add Wes Fofana or Lavio to List A for the Conference League knock out stage. So if we add Lavia to group A for the CL, we would also have to add his transfer fee into it. And Wes Fofana's.
So for argument sake just working off now -
We've raised approx £80 million from CWC.
Like hood is we get FOS sponsorship - £45-50 million
Player sales -
We might get around £150m or so before the window closes.
There will be added finances from participating in the CL, but that will add more towards next seasons compliance
Inter Milan are working on the incoming transfer market. Their idea for the attack is Christopher Nkunku.

And feck himself for the regular season
only another 7m to win the whole thing
decent but not exactly a disaster if we lose and take the 80m
Reaching the final and losing is £21.8m
Winning the competition is worth £29m
--
Nah ike 7m difference
I guess we could not show up and enter the final, then we wouldnt get the 22m for participation
Ah ok. Thought the max was 120m, but looks like that's in USD.
Be nice to see where we are compared to a PSG/Madrid. I think if we win we also get that cwc crest for four years too. Decent bragging rights, if we can manage it.
They should also allow us in the next tournament to defend our title.
prize pool is odd for this thing
you usually focus it on the winner to encourage trying to win
this comp has rewarded participation first
