João Félix is very close to confirming his return to Benfica. The deal is close to being finalised for €25 million for half of the Portuguese international's transfer fee. And is expected to be done by Friday.
~ @Record_Portugal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a couple of questions about this:
1) who could possibly have watched Felix anytime in the past couple of years and still value him at €50M?
2) I thought there was a rule against owning a percentage of a player. I thought it was 100% or nothing. No?

From what Ive read of it they would be signing him fully, the 'half of his rights' only refers to if they sell him on without paying us for the remainder of his rights, we would be owed half of what ever he sells for.
Complicated, but its similar to what Atletico did with Porto for Samu, where they have to pay Atletico another fee next season for the remainder of his rights.., despite the fact it was a full transfer.
Think that's the general gist of it 🤔

Interestingly enough if you read Record's report on it, they are saying it is a 50% sell on clause we have, which keeps Benfica's fee low.
Bild - Bayer Leverkusen's links to Raheem Sterling are wide of the mark. They do not see value in him for £20 million, and would be at a lower fee

Yeah, this sounded a bit too good to be true. I doubt any club is going to want to pay a fee for Sterling.
‼️ In the last hours, RB Leipzig and Chelsea have started club-to-club talks.
Chelsea have informed Leipzig that they want to sign Xavi Simons, and Leipzig now expect the first offer soon.
~ @Plettigoal
‼️ A deal for RB Leipzig star Simons, who wants to join Chelsea and is valued at around £60m, is dependent on at least one sale being agreed but that should not be an issue with Nkunku now a wanted man.
~ @Matt_Law_DT
Carney Chukwuemeka is one of at least three players Leipzig have asked about signing and the midfielder also has interest from the Premier League, with Chelsea wanting to sell him permanently.
~ @Matt_Law_DT
From a bargaining standpoint we could lock in all our overseas loan spots now so its not an option for clubs to ask
‼️ Nottingham Forest are one of a host of clubs to have registered an interest in Nkunku, but face serious competition for the former Leipzig star.
~ @Matt_Law_DT
Hato is effectively Veiga's replacement - Cucurella cover and can play LCB.
Would have preferred a RCB but I guess we'll continue with Trev/Tosin and Fofana.
Simons looks like he'll be backup to Palmer in the 10 role but has played from the left so maybe he'll be ahead of Gittens on that side.
The first line up will be very interesting this season
Wouldn't be surprised to see Palmer play from the right at some point
With all these good relations we seem to have established with other clubs, I wonder if PSG are now regretting throwing their little hissy fit over the Ziyech loan falling through?
We did completely ballacks that up by all accounts
I mean we are essentially a talent agency at this point.
You'd rather have a good business understanding with us right now than not.
I like that we give whole season trials to exciting young players
Good on us
Chelsea have tabled an official bid to Ajax for Jorrel Hato.
~ @ADSportwereld
Atlético Madrid are pushing to get David Hancko's deal done in the next hours as Feyenoord's request is below Chelsea's request for Renato Veiga.
~ @FabrizioRomano
Veiga deal falling through
Matt Law -
If Chelsea complete the signings of Simons and Hato, they will still look at Garnacho and Rogers.
That’s what I like to hear
Always player hoarding
‼️ Mike Penders will be loaned to Strasbourg, and will join on Monday for a training camp.
He is expected to be the number one goalkeeper next season, ahead of Kalle Johnsson.

Patiently awaiting any announcement on Xavi Simons. Please make it so Chels 🙏
