Compared to our usual purchases from Brighton it’s cheap. So I guess it’s not a huge risk. But it’s still pretty surprising to me. He’s scored a couple of long range rockets, but that apart has he shown a lot of promise?

Seems like a profit signing, can't really see him playing for us as we've got Palmer and potentially Simons

Arteta has to win a big trophy this season. He's been fully backed. Zubimendi, Madueke, Eze and Gyokeres.

I acc don’t think they’ve improved the team that much for the money they spent when you dissect it, even though on top of it looks like Arteta has finally spent money on positions that need strengthening.


Gyokeres - not sure if he suits Arsenal style of play. Different sort of striker to what they have had as far as I can remember under Arteta. The first game where he barely touched ball I think will be a common theme for him.
Also to not forget it’s his first season in a top league and probably just needs to adjust etc.

Eze - really rate him but not quite the wide ‘runner’ and goal threat Arsenal seem to have always wanted / needed on the left. Especially as they don’t play with overlapping full backs.

Zubimendi - I don’t even know just seems beige. Improvement on Partey / Jorginho? Or just the same..I’m being harsh I don’t know much about him but 🤷🏿‍♂️

Madueke - I have always liked him and actually think he’s a very strong signing to be back up to Saka they have always wanted.

Also our new third kit is lovely. Nike done well with away and third kits this year. Again probably better with no sponsor.

This is the problem when you put this information out there so publicly, it invariably makes the thing you need to happen (ie moving Nkunku and Jackson) not happen lol. It's called sod's law and you tempt it into happening.

That sounds like a deal that could work. We pay about £60M for Simons, and they probably pay about £40M for Nkunku.
