He's also looked a bit uninterested imo. Probably dislike playing as a CF, and rumour was that he pushed for a permanent in the summer rather than a loan.

Regardless just not at the level and Maresca bringing him on time and again is poor management.

100% means Palmer should have been subbed first after the red card. Today has proven a huge backward step for Maresca.

"We need to start the game better. We cannot concede a red card at Old Trafford after three minutes."

And then sign Buonanotte who is a conference league standard player. Transfer window went from promising to questionable in the last few weeks. Hope we don't end up looking back on it as a disaster...

The issue is that it never looks like we want to "kick on". Just feels like endless player trading and "hedging bets". We're not going to challenge for the title if our transfer strategy doesn't change.

CWC has bought him a lot of good will but fans tend to have short memories (and already had doubts about him). If our season implodes before Xmas the pressure will be intense.

Should win our next 3 really. If the results slide there then I'll start worrying a bit for the season.

Wouldn't have been as bad if Delap hadn't got injured. Pedro could have floated around more. Suspect Estevao will play a more prominent role now until Palmer is fit. Garnacho/Neto on wings..potentially

Yeah those last few weeks of the window were so unconvincing. Keeping hold of the same keepers, not properly strengthening at CB after the Colwill injury, questionable buys for the LW position. And then either not bringing in another top striker or bringing in Simons, we needed to do one of those two things.

It was a poor window in general and we're paying for it.

“Yeah it is probably the better solution [to let Mbeumo score rather than foul him] because we still have 95 minutes to play. Robert is aware of that. It's difficult because he needs to make a decision. But if you ask me I prefer to be one goal down after five minutes than one player down.”
