There's more legroom on a Chinese school bus than there is at Old Trafford.
favourite away ground - goodison park. top ground and i like liverpool as a city so you can always make a day/night of it.
worst - any of the new stadiums, with the reebok being just marginally worse than the emirates/eastlands/etc.
it's how football is meant to be boris. you go to stand and support your team not sit on a padded seat and have enough room to put your feet up.

----------------------------
We have to cram em in Boris, because of demand obviously
They should have put 3 piece suites in the Etihad
Interestingly your concept of 'how football is meant to be' is also how toddlers are taught basic melody and memory skills...
"Now stand up young Oliver and recite to me twinkle twinkle"
so you'd rather watch a game of football in a souless bowl with a retail park on one side and supermarket on the other, paying almost fifty quid for privilege, than see the matchday experience return to how it once was?
Old Trafford renowned for having the fantastic atmosphere that it obviously does...
Fifty quid a game? I've been mugged off for my season ticket in that case!
United have just moved the away fans after years of being out sung from the lower tier.
Now they will be outsung from the upper tier
i was actually talking in general but the fact that you automatically assumed i was referring to city is a classic example of the inferiority complex that is present in all blues.
also;http://www.epltalk.com/top-20-loudest-football-grounds-in-premier-league-31551. not a surprise really, empty seats tend not to make a great deal of noise, but seriously, below wigan? how embarrassing.
Pretty meaningless though, I mean your second because you have the biggest ground, full of people nattering about how to put the film into their Kodak the right way around, bound to make some noise.
yawn. using that logic you should be above liverpool as your capacity is greater.
Yes but we don't have Kodak's
Ole is this you on fanzone?

it isn't no. i find both of those melts as cringeworthy as each other.
Do you stand when you go to your local Multiplex, if you bought a new 3 piece suite from DFS in their sale would you spend all evening stood up to watch TV?

You, as a supposed regular at OT, should know how hypocriticial your qualms are in the above statement...
Think they just took the Bob Marley song a bit too literally to be honest, and we all know the dangers of reading too much into songs coughCharlieMansoncough.
mancwoohoo, as i've said i was talking about football in general. boris, that's a terrible example. do you mither people to sit down and ask them to mind their language when you go to matches?
I'm ashamed to admit that when I came to Manchester as a youth many years ago I supported United. A few trips to OT soon cured that stood among arrogant unfriendly no nothings. Then I went to Maine Road. There have been more downs than ups in the last 35 years but I've never regretted it.

-----------------------
I go with my two lads who are 13 and 11
They just ignore the language but I have asked someone to tone it down before. I didn't think 'suck my c,,,' was appropriate for my 11 year old ears. Unbelievably there was a girl of about 7 sat right in front of him too.
With the standing, it becomes annoying when my youngest has to peer between peoples heads, even when stood on his seat. In the terracing days, the kids could gather at the front. These days, they cant.
Just my take
I'm beyond the stage where I think it's my duty to stand for 90 minutes during a football match when I've paid for a perfectly good seat.
Fair Macca, if I had kids and took them to the game I would want them to a) be able to see and b) not have to listen to some half wit swearing because he's had a couple of pints of shandy.
Remember when I used to sit in the family stand as a kid there was one bloke who must have been borderline tourettes, go and sit in the other end then.
comment by UnitedRedMacca- I taught Rooney and Berbatov the overhead kick (U2024)
