The reason people do not like him is because he is not a likable person.
==========================
Replace likeable with charismatic and you've got your reason. I think most people yesterday realised that maybe he's a much more likeable character than they thought, it's not his fault he's not the most outgoing of people.
"because he is not a likeable person" great logic
"your logic is flawed"
it wasn't mine and I just used it to counter logic by someone else.
Murray's flaw is that he's British. British sportsmen are underachievers in the big sports.

Really? Most I have spoken to were laughing at him for crying.
As for not being outgoing - I have seen interviews were he has come across well. Who was the female tennis player that he was flirting with during a press conference? But usually he is grumpy.

complete rubbish, for the size of the country, the fact we had tonnes of sports were good at,is really good.
Is there any other country who has the wide number of sports we do.
Athletics
football
swimming
rowing
both rugby
cricket
cycling,
tennis
There is no other country who play the amount of sports we do, and were quite successfull in everyone

You are still a teenager aren't you? You need to realise that adding those smileys doesn't make your argument any more persuasive.

That just says a lot about you and most of the people you know then doesn't it?
--------------------------------------------
Firstly I didn't say that I was laughing at him.
Secondly, what does it say about those that were laughing at him?
You are still a teenager aren't you? You need to realise that adding those smileys doesn't make your argument any more persuasive
---------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly, I am not a teenager but smileys are a great tool to get things across teenagers like you.
At least you got the point that you cannot logic.Like I said before this board is not for you, stick to footie board.
complete rubbish, for the size of the country, the fact we had tonnes of sports were good at,is really good.

You forgot to mention bowling, croquet, soft ball and darts
That they're idiots. This guy's heartbroken, he's given it his all in the match he's been working towards throughout his entire life and it wasn't good enough.
He's then given people what they've been criticising him for not doing his entire career and showing a bit of emotion in an interview, incredible grace in defeat and he gets laughed at by armchair supporters with the empathy of a peanut?
Nah, it's pretty scúmmy in my opinion, but I'm sure he neither needs or wants their support so I guess everyone's happy. I'm just proud that we have such a talented player in our ranks.

Quit it with the my dads bigger than your dad stuff please.
The reason I didn't respond t your logic point is because I have no idea what you are talking about. You don't explain very well and the smileys didn't help.
And I will post on any board I wish, just as you have the freedom to post on any board. Why do you think that I shouldn't be on the tennis board?

Did you afford Nani the same regard when he feared that Carra had ended his season with that reckless challenge?
If anyone of these guys done any sport then they would have known that how much practice and training goes in producing champions.
The fact is that Judy did it all by her self and without the support of useless LTA is an achievement in itself.
LTA could not produce a decent player barring Tim for ages. Imagine that even Boggo is an import from some easter Europe country.
The tears were not for losing but for the fatigue and the hardwork that he had put in reaching to the threshold and probably knowing about these dumbwits who will still not be satisfied.

Quite successful in football and tennis?
We are cack at football and we're still waiting for a men's GS champion in the tennis since the 1930's, and the women's since the 1970's. That is shocking for a country that holds one of the major events.
Like I say when it comes to the big sports and the big events in those big sports, we are rubbish. We don't produce enough champions that dominate.
Did you afford Nani the same regard when he feared that Carra had ended his season with that reckless challenge?
=================================
No, because it's not even remotely comparable.
Why do you think that I shouldn't be on the tennis board?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Because I do not think that you bring any wisdom to rationality to this board other than wumming against Andy.
The question was pretty simple as why do you not like Andy? And you replied that he is not likeable which is a very vague answer.
It is like asking how many counties are in Uk and then you say "many".
Well can we talk something about logical then? So please tell me as why you do not like Andy and why is he an underachiever in a country where no sportsperson managed a final at home event for 74 years?
I did however sympathise with Pirlo when he was in tears after the Euro final. That would be comparable.
Nani overreacting about a bad tackle midway through the season is completely ridiculous as a comparison.

No, because it's not even remotely comparable.
---------------------------------
Why not? Does Nani not work as hard? Does he not have the right to feel the same frustration? Pot and kettle springs to mind with you Didi. I suspect that you were spouting the same stuff about Nani as your ex-facebook friend was about Murray. Swings and roundabouts.

Where have I wummed against Andy? I have made one point - and that is that he isn't a likable person. I don't actually no anyone who thinks that he is likable person. Even my mate, who is half Scottish and more interested in tennis than I am, wasn't really behind him yesterday.
I haven't said that he is an underachiever. You must have me confused with someone else. He is a very talented player and done exceptionally well to reach the levels he has.
It's not about every athlete who cries, the situation has to be appropriate. If he hadn't been asked to speak, Murray would never have cried, but in trying to express his gratitude to his family, friends and supporters he was emotionally overwhelmed. Crying because you've cut your leg is not even close to being the same thing. Apples and oranges.
@arab elvis.
My apologies, I must have clubbed you with other andy wums.
welcome to tennis boards. Although I am no authority here but it will be fun to have some meaningful discussions as you are right that you are not a wum.

I don't think that Nani cried but of the cut, rather that he thought his season was over.
Murray might not be a contestant for most charming individual but this wum-fest here is pathetic.
I am not the dour Scot's biggest fan but what he single-handedly is doing for tennis in this country has to be greatly admired.
