Kls, by surprise you mean what exactly? Higher than 3rd? I don't. Don't see podolski as an out and out scorer or giroud. Plus giroud has come from a poor French league and only played top flight for a year i think. We will see about that. Rest assured if they lose rvp, which I.think they will, they will finish there or there abouts. No higher. Tbh I am being kind to Chelsea, only cause of the players they have signed. Is di matteo the right man for the job?
I think he could be first to go. We all know JT ran that team last year. That was obvious from him giving directions.from.the sidelines. Will be an interesting season. I know I have called it here, but I am not confident on what I have chosen. I think it could be.wide open again.

The French league is a tricky one to read, on one hand you get the likes of Chamak and big forehead boy but you can then get the likes of Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa!
Podolski is an absolute goal machine when played in the right position and is happy at the club he's at! I personally think that Cazorla will be a great signing (if they get him) and they could do well!
But that's if's but's and maybe's. I cannot see it. If both were that good, why were other bigger teams not interested? Once rvp goes they will not score as many. I could be well wrong, but podolski is.not a goal machine. Check his stats. You will be surprised.

44 goals in 101 games for Germany is great and he's been pushed out late! He didn't do well at Byern because he was'nt happy at the club and cologne were just shìte!
On to the (why weren't other bigger teams interested)
How do you know they weren't? The likes of Cabaye, tiote and Ben Arfa have turned out to be superb prem players that signed for Newcastle. Why were no other, bigger teams interested? Still good players!
Well I would look good in Germany's team. I do not think that proves anything. I think the fact that you have said he played rubbish at bayern and cologne speaks bigger volumes. He played more games or them. I am not convinced.
On the other part.of.your comment, Newcastle where obviously prepared to take the risk.
