It's safe to say it'll be Evra!

funrob,

I was last night, but I guess it's out of my system now. But yeah, all of those players as well as Nani and the others have mentioned are the only ones who've lived up to their potential.

Scholes and Giggs who for me have been two of the best midfielders this season period, are past their best and are starting to look their age, Rio brings back some stability but has lost pace and I fear for his back. Jones, De Gea and Smalling are still too inexperienced but have the potential to be world-class for sure.

Too many signings since Rooney have been average or uninspiring, apart from Smalling, De Gea, Vidic, Valencia and Hernandez every other player bought in since 2004 hasn't made the grade and that's a lot of players!

-----------------

what a tool you are!

for starters giggs was shocking last season!

and i wouldnt call nani, evra, rafael, edwin, ronaldo or carrick failures you tool.

Evra should be offered a coaching position at United, his time as a footballer is over.

Sherlock,

I've already explained myself above mate. But yeah, I feel that there have been a considerable amount of players that haven't met the grade which is unacceptable at our level.

of course there has, as with every team!

but the ones that have succeeded have been essential to our success.

No club will have every transfer turn out to be a success, especially when you are trying to build a team capable of winning the title. We have alot of efficient players like Young who might not be world class, but is still a very usefull player to have. Every player we buy doesn't have to be Messi quality.

gibbs wouldnt refuse to sign a new contract, he is loyall and great. RVP is a

and any united fan trying to tell me gibbs isnt class is silly as ive seena few saying they would like to sign him.
============

Any Utd fan that rates Gibbs doesn't know a lot about defending.

The only Arsenal player that would make our squad of 25 is Koscielny. There's a nice place on the bench for him, next to Bebe.

To be fair being Englands best or 2nd best anything is hardly something to shout about as dire as England are.

I'm prompted to ask Who? But then chains They asked arsene who?, ronaldo?, evra? Vidic? Kompany? Gervinho? Ok sorry that last one was an exception.
Ten of thousands filled the stadium when kaka, owen(newcastle) robinho signed. See how those turned out. Defenders especially the top ones are settled in their clubs so how do you expect to get them. On the average most dutch players are technical and pacy so for utd if he has those qualities we are happy.

posted on 20/8/12

Hmmm, never heard of him, he is 23 and was beaten to the Dutch side\ squad by a 17 year old who looked like a headless chicken, I wouldn't think he is all that.

But ill reserve judgement until I see him in action.

....
But Baines is well ahead of Gibbs.
England debate.... not for me today ta.

This is the point, just because you haven't heard of him doesn't mean he can't do a job. Be fair, if Fabio can make his loan spell work, even if he isn't any good, he is only back up for a year. He is young, he is cheap, he is back up. Let's wait and see shall we. There are many unknowns who have proved to be shrewd business for us.

Cole, Bridge, Warnock, Baines, Fryers are all better than Gibbs.

And Bertrand.

All I said was he probably isn't all that, which is most likely.

Said I'd reserve judgement, I remember how bad Evra and Vidic were for 6 months in the PL!!!
