He was apparently motm for Juve V Milan on Sunday night. Surely he's better than Cleverley?

posted on 21/8/12

Yes he was excellent vs Milan the other night.

He went where he would get football so I can respect that. The lad has not went down in my estimation in any way. I wish him well in his career.

Wy didn't Fergie just play him

He indeed ran the show versus Milan on Sunday. And it was not an under-strength Milan team.

A real talent that boy. Shame.

...................

Because he has lost that edge he once had. Needs to get rid of Scholes and Giggs.

He played Park in CM against Blackburn. Park later left the club.

WHAT WAS THE POINT?

exactly vidic.

fergie seems to have lost his bottle when it comes to giving youngsters there chance, its almost like he wants to protect them too much, and this means their careers stagnate.

if your good enough, youre old enough.

Maybe we can buy him back.

Yeah right Pogba, course you left just to play. Anyone who thinks he went to Juve to get more game time is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, and knows very little about the players at Juve or indeed the situation at United. Also I'd suggest reading the full interview not just the edited version.

Interesting also him claiming he went to play football etc etc, but then also says "I didn't go to Juve because I knew I would be part of the starting line-up. I have no guarantee. The coach told me there are a lot of matches to play and he wanted a substitute for Pirlo and Vidal."

Whereas at United you it was totally different???

Also thought it was funny him saying maybe a 19 year old saying no to a top manager with 25 years of winning experience is something SAF had a problem with....errr you reckon Pogba, like SAF would be wrong in thinking that? lol

Maybe Pogba just felt his chances were better at Juve. Not to say he will start but more that he will be given a chance to prove his worth which at United for whatever reason he wasn't.

TWSLP
------------
Last season the following people got picked in CM over Pogba. Carrick, Giggs, Park, Rafael, Cleverley, Fletcher, Gibson, Rooney, Berbatov, Diouf and Owen (LC vs Leeds). Then in January Gibson left and we bring Scholes out of retirement.

Fantastic show of faith in youth.

Rafael, Diouf, and Owen in central midfield

I'd leave after that.

He was being developed ..if he could not wait..ah well..slm do u want utd to bend over for youth..or do u want fergie to bow to player power?

This guy is an idiot ..who cares if he is a decent player.
The fact we invested a lot into him shows he had a lack of respect.

posted on 21/8/12

yeah, he does, he did it to me

honestly mate, if you dont sgree with his opinions he filters you, which is annoying because you cant tell him how much of a k n o b he is being.

pretty pathetic when your in the mindset that only your opinion is correct.

I didn't even know who he was and found out that he had filtered me. Wish I knew what I said

He couldn't get a game over Berbatov and Owen in CM in the LC. But is 3rd choice sub at Juve.

"The fact we invested a lot into him shows he had a lack of respect."

Rubbish. I bet you welcomed Van Persie with open arms, didn't you?

Pogba felt he was at the stage where he needed first-team football for his development. Given that Juve already stuck him in against a strong Milan team and he ran the show is an early indication that his decision was worth it.

I'll back Sir Alex over a teenager any day of the week.

If he was ready, Sir Alex would have played him. The couple of times he did play, he looked very raw to me,

The fact he looked good in one game in Italy means diddly squat to how he would have performed in the PL 12 months ago.
Those that know Sir Alex's policy on such things as youth know that the policy is very stringent, they don't deviate from it, and it's there to protect the player

Imagine what it would have done to the lad if he'd played v Blackburn, has an absolute stinker, all in front of 75000 people?
It isn't just about being phsysically ready, you need to be mentaly ready to be able to cope with such a possibilty and Sir Alex clearly though Pogba wasn't

it's just to easy to criticise the manager when we don't have all the facts.

Pogba clearly does have more thance at Juve, he played vs Milan, that would be like us starting Pogba vs Liverpool.

He just said he is substitute for Vidal and Pirlo, at Utd he was sub to Scholes, Giggs, Ando, Clev, Carrick, apparently Rafael and Park too. He has a lot more chance of a game at Juve if you look at the facts.

So putting to one side his huge salary increase and the multimillion pound bonus that his agent got sealing the move, incidentally after doing the same for a big bonus with an Ajax youngster to Juve the window before, why would Pogba think his chances were better at Juve?

Juve walked Serie A with a fantastic central midfield including Pirlo, Vidal, and Marchisio. They've also just bought CM Asamoah and are still linked with others. Pogba is a teenager, new to the Italian league and team-mates with hardly any top level experience, rather than integrated with the club and squad already.

He was also starting to get game time as a 18/19 year old, and missed more opportunities to play because of things like missing the bus, attitude issues, and of course injuries.

We can also consider SAF hasnt been buying CMs because of players like Pogba, whilst Scholes and Giggs are a season away from retirement, and Fletcher has a chronic illness. Plus the minute Pogba leaves, SAF buys Powell for CM.

Pogba is 19 and surely people dont think this inexpereinced teenager should have been playing in the central midfield in the title race run rather than more experienced pros? Pogba knows he would have got his chance at United, like many young players in the squad already and before him, but he left because of the cash him and his agent got.

Conte has also said that he wants to assess the lad in training to see if he should loan him out, put him the reserves to adjust or give him a chance in the first team squad. This doesn't suggest as Pogba said that first team are any more guaranteed at Juve, in fact those options seem worse than he had at United where he was definitely in the first team squad.

However don't get me wrong, United can't complain too much about what Juve have done and shouldnt be too shocked at Pogba since he did the same when we nicked him from Le Havre.
