Yep. Our defence is still a joke but glad we got over the line.

Such an entertaining game. The players still lool like they are playing for Conte. Showed greating fighting spirit.

Yeah I agree they still seem to be playing for Conte. Players who want the manager to get the boot don't come back from a goal down 3 times and win the game.

It was only a joke mate, but yes it was a fairly lucky though deserved win. At least it shows the team have a lot of heart in them still. You can't say Conte is losing the dressing room or anything like that. What you can say is the team/defence needs more work.

We need to improve the defence but we are a work in progress. A work in progress currently third and all to play for after the WC.. Not good enough for some, some who dont even celebrate our goals or enjoy a victory.

I'm not necessarily conte out but he needs to wake up and tweak his approach. We just do not have good enough defenders to play the way he wants to play as it is sheer panic whenever the ball is near our box. That's what irritates me with him.

It’s the defence & Lloris… only a blind person can’t see that.
The likes of Dier, Doherty, Sanchez, Royal, Davies aren’t good enough for a top 4-6 side.
That’s too many bad defenders in one team
Lloris kicking & slow distribution is horrendous also.

We never had this problem when Walker, Alderwierld, Vertonghen & Rose were playing. They’ve been replaced by utter sh*te!!

The Spence thing is just bizarre and the one main point you can criticise Conte for. If he's being deliberately stubborn or making his point to the club not to get signings he doesn't wish for, then he's gone well overboard with it.

Just get rid of him. Play spence. I cannot believe spence could possibly be worse.

Thank you Devon. I doubt any of us would've seriously considered a title challenge in Conte's first full season as there is still much work to be done and we kind of already knew that. Performances aside which between Liverpool and today have slightly improved, we are doing ok and probably where we thought we'd be. Arsenal doing even better than us makes it look worse too.

Spence played against Forest and did absolutely no worse than your average Royal performance. And even if Spence did worse I would forgive him and put it down to having all his confidence taken out of him by the lack of starts.

Dier was at fault for the first two goals. He was awful. Like a carthorse at the centre of defence.

Today was a return to form in terms of playing badly and getting results. Unless we drop sharply down the league, Conte isn't getting sacked.
