really want Ange to workout but getting more and more detached with his refusal to bend a little. after every game's now. He knows we have some of our best players out. Surely he’s got to think of a plan as Ossie Ardiles ball ain’t going to cut unless we gave our best eleven on the pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Suggestion for plan B?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly.
Do what exactly? Conte it out again? At home to West Ham?

We attack teams and go hell for leather - if we had better front 3, we’d convert more of those chances.

Stick with it - what’s the alternative?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stick with it to a point but tonight it was plain as daylight we weren’t going to score another.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have a to prod and poke, otherwise you just invite pressure. If Udogie didn't pass it back we would have been ok. Gift.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sticking with it mostly but just frustrated as this was a game again that we should have won at a canter…, they were chitt and they know it but we still conspired to lose it.

Plan B will have to wait until January. Nothing else we can do than hope for the best with a bunch of players who have an allergy to scoring.

what's the owner's got to do with picking up 5 long term injuries between windows?

Bring a bit it structure to our play when we ain’t or look like scoring or putting games to bed. Be a bit more sold instead of all out kamakarsi football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly this. You are wasting your time explaining to the likes of Luka that you are allowed to vary your tactics 🙄

Feels like you are happy for us to score then ease off. I think we would be in alot more trouble if we did ease off and try to play it around more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No not at all, just seems a bit all out and nothing else. If we win we win or not. Just feel we need a better plan… what that is feck knows .

Is no one seriously alarmed by the 2 goals they scored? You lose the ball anywhere on the pitch and it means the opposition are in. They scored 2 open goals. It's nothing other than unacceptable. It's awful and it's ANOTHER lose.

The team is weak. The manager is losing us games now. It's not even up for debate

Not shifting the deadwood and replacing it with quality for the last 5 years?

That was as terrible as any Conte performance. Having the ball doesn’t mean shiiiit if you can’t create anything. Thought we looked completely toothless. I’m still behind what he’s trying to do but I do think that the reason we’re scoring first and then losing games is because teams take about 30-45 mins to work us out and when they do, it’s open season.

Let’s hope badly has his wallet out come Jan. we need some new blood and finally try and rid some of the shat

The truth is, Ange is trying to play the right way with the wrong players. Kulu, Skipp, PEH, Davies, Richarlison are all crap.

posted on 7/12/23

And the truth is that we’re only really missing Maddison and VDV so whilst they’re both really important, we can’t call it an injury crisis. Seriously disappointing. Lose that Newcastle game and I think people are really going to start questioning Ange.

The positive in all this is we need more signings, Levy has seen the first picks win and the stand ins lose. If more signings that fit the system are not incoming, then things will not improve.

Selling our greatest striker in a generation and not replacing him

Not signing the extra cb we desperately needed

Just off the top of my head

Easy excuse. Those players aren't the reason we lost today. I'd say Richies miss asidex we lost due to space we left in behind.. We have let in 2 goals or more in the last 5 games or more. It's the high line. 2 open goals

It is a crisis when they are such key players though and help bring the best out of others.

Still not enough though. We left ourselves short in the summer. Should have got another defender and needed to bulk up the attack especially after selling our best player and one of the best strikers in the world, who does more than just get goals. Injuries or not, we knew potentially it could come back to haunt us and hey presto, it has!

Just heard the Ange quotes. He’s right. We were awful all night. Possession doesn’t mean a thing if you’re just going to play sideways or backward passes. Where’s the bravery. I don’t think I saw Kulu attempt more than one or two crosses all bloody night. I get they’re good in the air but play the ball lower. Fizz it. Anything. Just not cutting back and squaring it. Players showed no balls tonight. Awful.

Looking at Newcastle's team tonight and bench they are struggling just as much as us. Should be an even match.
