For £60m can't we need better than Mbeumo? Or is he that good?

20 goals and 7 assists is a great season for a team like Brentford. It betters what Solanke did for the same price.

Not that old either at 25 and would play under the same manager who he produced those stats for, so yeah more than worth it IMO.

Agreed.

Good news. I was getting worried we were going to end up with Silva.

That will please a lot of fans on here 😁

I know there's been a clamour from fans to move Davis on but I don't mind him staying really. Could be helpful to Frank to have a player who has been here as long as he has in the dressing room. He's still capable of putting a solid shift in as well as a poor one but with fewer injuries next season we'll see him less anyway.

Still could see him leaving but if he stays it’s going to hard to add him for the champ league squad

#thfc Thomas Frank has agreed to become the new Tottenham manager.

Following talks over the weekend, the Brentford boss is close to becoming Ange Postecoglou's replacement.

I wonder how much research, time and effort by Levy and his recruitment team etc have been invested in this decision, not a lot ,looks like first cab off the rank if true.
Not terribly inspiring, but will see how he handles 2 games a week

I have my doubts as well but if he gets the gig, lets just wish him the best. By the sounds of it, Levy and Lange have interviewed him several times. His appointment may also be data driven?

Can't help thinking it's entirely governed by his premier league experience. He knows the league, knows what's needed to win games and Levy is hoping that transfers to Tottenham.

In the debit column, as has been mentioned he hasn't
had to deal with 2 games a week that often with Brentford and as far as I know has a big fat Zero European competition experience in any of it's guises.

#thfc chairman Daniel Levy is attempting to extend Cristian Romero's contract with an improved salary. He is currently determined to join Atlético Madrid though. Spurs are demanding €70M to sell the centre-back. [Marca]

Jose, Ramos, Conte...now they knew how to handle 2 games a week

DO you not think the Board will have been assessing options for weeks, even months now.

We were prepared to sack Ange even after a trophy win so the thought will have been there for a long while that a new man is needed. There will have been a load of internal meetings and no doubt some off the record exploring of options.

Plus, we have had in the past criticism that Ange or Nuno or Poch wasnt first choice. Now with what may be quite a quick appointment of Frank, its accused of rushed "first cab on the rank" selection.

It's a bit tiresome how the club is damned if they do and damned if they don't at every turn.
