I was just mocking the SPL, nothing more than that.

Going to the SPL doesn't really do much for Moore's development.

Of course it does. Regular football. Possible European football.

It does. Someone said on here that it makes sense to play for a side that will control possession and play higher up, giving him a chance to develop his game, and they were bang on. He could play for a promoter side in the Prem but realistically he’d spend most of his time defending down that left hand side. It’s a good move for sure.

Am I reading this right. Fab Romano just said that Rangers will have an option to buy Mikey Moore for 30m. Surely feckin not??!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Source?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Were you looking at a parody account?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve no idea. I just stumbled across it on X. Someone has quoted Romano as saying there’s a 30m buy option. I didn’t have any reason to doubt it because he has just been on YouTube apparently. Probably rubbish if there’s no other source.

Although saying that, if we are cash poor, as many have said, could we also be in danger of having to sell one of our own for pure profit? It’s happened to a lot of other clubs.

We're not cash poor and we're not in PSR trouble and even if either of those were true selling Moore to Rangers would not be the solution

Another day of absolutely nothing. The neglect of this club is just astounding. This was supposed to be our summer of growth after CL qualification. We need another forward, another creative, a holding midfielder, a new left back AND deadwood shifted but there’s literally nothing. We are less than 2 weeks out from the super cup and 3 from the Prem starting up again. A new manager needs his players in early to get his ideas across.

We have our very own Mike Ashley folks, although the difference is that he wanted out. We’re stuck with Levy and Lewis forever it seems. Be fair to the fans. This is not your toy to make money from. People need to stop turning up. Make the place an absolute cauldron of hate. Make him want to leave because as things stand, fans are only apathetic and that suits Levy fine. They need to be angrier. Does this really justify the season ticket prices? I mean, really?

That's just entirely uncalled for tho. Levy is bad but it's not like he's the Glazers where he's draining hundreds of millions out.. the club is unrecognizable from where he took over. And if you just care about the football it's counterproductive to say the least. I want him out but not at any cost. It could get a heck of a lot worse

I hear what you’re saying but enough is enough. We’ve seen this all too often. The stadium was supposed to be the game changer. 6 years on and it’s emerging that’s only really an avenue for increased profits. Those profits aren’t going on stars and their wages. They’re going on cheap gambles and youngsters with some promise, all of whom lower the wage bill. It’s absolutely scandalous. Sorry, I just can’t back them anymore. If it has to turn into a cauldron of hate so be it. The driving factor is getting him and ENIC out, even if it has a detrimental effect on performances. I’ve seen enough over the last 24 years to know that they will never change the way they operate. Their focus is always on money, not on success. They might want success but they’re not willing to put any of their own money in or gamble in the same way the true winners of this league are. If you’re happy with that, so be it, but I want to in now. I’m tired of this bullshiiiit, otherwise what are we even cheering for week on week if it’s not ultimately get up there with the best. It can’t happen with the restraints this club imposes so what’s even the point? See you in 17 years for the next meaningless trophy I guess.

GET. HIM. GONE!!!!!!

That's fair I guess you're entitled to be annoyed if that's how you feel. But the Europa League trophy isn't meaningless. If you're gonna take that approach to the team it might be best to give football a break

Okay, it’s not meaningless but it’s also not, with Levy at the helm, the springboard it should be. We’ve qualified for the CL, now is the time to go big because, let’s be honest, we’re getting nowhere near the top five this season so this is as fruitful and attractive as we could be.

Levy is a paddler. He takes his socks off and roles his trousers up. That’s it. Meanwhile, Boehly, Henry and everyone else in the top six is diving in the water from the top board.

To be fair we'd have done the same business as United if we hadn't facked the MGW deal. I do get what you're saying, we all want better players through the door. But I don't think it's as simple as all that. Eze for example, why wouldn't he go to Arsenal? There's no point pretending we're as big of a draw right now as those that have finished top 4 consistently the past few years.

Do we just pay 60m for Mainoo out of 'ambition'? We need players that improve the squad that actually want to be here. Of course there'll be transfers done we're just not (for reasons Levy definitely deserves chit for) at the top of the food chain right now

Fridge we have signed Frontier Pets. They are now our official pet food provider.

I think there are at least 9 squads better or equal to ours now. We are just so so far behind chelsea, arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, anyway, I think United have bought better and will finish above us, Newcastle and Villa were ahead of us last season, nothing suggests we’ve done enough to overtake them.

I think we will be mixing it with the likes of Fulham, Brighton and forest unless we sort this squad out

Just too many years of bad decisions and bad spending by Daniel levy, it will either take this squad going injury free and over performing massively or Daniel levy and Enic actually investing some money into the squad and buying proper players.

Neither of which are likely to happen.

I see levy supporters are now at the ‘let’s see what *insertlatestmanagernamehere* can do with what he has’ stage of the transfer window’ Bed wetters proved right once again.

Levy’s position is untenable now. Only his ego is stopping him from seeing that.

Tbf the “big 5” have all done amazing work in the transfer window and is almost a bit unprecedented to see this many big signings in one window.

However the other clubs have not done much - newcastle (who also have CL), villa, forest, brighton etc. granted those teams are ahead of us anyway AND we will have CL so we need a better overall squad to still compete in both.

But overall, what this means is top 6 should still be our target

also means its impressive to be in the 'top 6' when ultimately should be a top 5 really when it comes to spending and disposable income

defo worth getting some of our chite players to end some gooners seasons before they start tomorrow

posted on 30/7/25

I think that some fans somehow feel that our squad as it stands is good enough to compete for the top 6 players with better coaching from Frank. I also think this is what the Spurs hierarchy think as well, hence the lack of urgency in the transfer window.

My view is the squad showed its true colours in the PL last season. It cannot cope with injuries to key players, it concedes too many goals and there is no creativity without an in form Kulu or Madders.

I see that there are already injuries to Udogie, Solanke and the new signing Takai. Is this all down to training methods? Or just what happens in football? I think the latter (despite it all being blamed on Ange last season) so it's vital that we strengthen the squad with quality first team-ready players. I said in a previous comment that the club appears to be sleep walking into another season of mediocrity in the PL with its current approach.

posted on 30/7/25

I do think we are trying to be active this window but other clubs have a greater appeal, better reputations and are more appealing to players who want to win trophies.

As a result, we will pay over the odds for players from average teams. BJ, Solanke, Gray ect ect

Said from the start we will get the scraps when the top teams have done their business.

Once they done, we will be scrapping with Villa and Newcastle for the players who are left.

posted on 30/7/25

Also, what happens in 5-10 years, assuming ENIC are still in control? We've seen ambitious owners from Villa, Newcastle and even Forest begin to show their teeth, two of which have clearly usurped us as 'the best of the rest'. If we see takeovers of others clubs with ambitious owners, we're going to drop further and further down the league.

There's a very real possibility with this ownership that they take us down within 10 years if things don't change.

rumours are Udogie out for 4 months?

so you'd think we'd get a left back minimum now and with the money willing to spend on MGW supposedly you'd like to think they'd be a big money midfield or forward signing depending on futures of Bissouma, Richarlison and Son notably

posted on 30/7/25
