Absolutely love this shirt. Which we’d go back to that badge tbh

Some Spurs fans don't like him because he took the mick out of Harry Kane when he 14 or 15yrs old.

Pansies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was close to joing us before, but villa moved the goalposts at the last minute if I remember.

Assuming madds is out for the season, we can't register him in Europe either. We'd be in massive bother. Hope Donley gets a chance too, he has got something about him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry mate, I was talking about Elliot here, not Grealish
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah right, gotcha

I saw it mentioned on another post but surely we must go for Grealish.

He's very much like Maddison

Better playing central
Creative passer
More robust than mads
Strong on the ball
Can take a free kick
English
Good personality

40mil for 29yo is ok, or a loan with subsidised wages.

Seems a no brainer to me with the situation we are in.

We'll get 20mil for son, so use the bigger money for a LW. Bergvall and Grealish to cover AMC whilst kulu works his way back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I can see Grealish as a on option but we don't want to spending 40m on a 29 yo with a slightly suspect attitude and injury record. He barely played for City last season for various reasons. A stop gap, nothing more.

Wed be better off going for someone like Elliot (although also a bit injury prone ) or McAtee as a long term option, IMO
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think a loan will with a few would be less risky for us, maybe sign McAtee as well as a future option. We were going for MGW before Mads got injured so there is space there.

Grealish stats even when played on the left are still impressive. He presses well and works hard too.

Pep doesn't always get it right - look at Cole Palmer.

Everton signing both Dibbling & Dewsbury-Hall is very good business for them

Yeah agree, I like both of them, young hungry players. Id rather had Dewsbury hall over paulinhia to be honest. Better passer and English

As a Spurs fan are you not tired of us conceding soft goals all our life.

How would signing someone like Dewsbury Hall negate us from being a soft touch in the centre of the park?

I really don't get this obsession with signing flair players who can't do the dirty side of the game and get stuck in.

It's almost as if some Spurs fans want flair but then the moment we concede a goal, where a side just walks through the middle of our team they then start kicking off.

I don't understand some fans sometimes. Rats.

We need to get involved in this. He's too good. 100m player in 3 years. Convinced of it.

posted 2 weeks ago

He's like a combination of Grealish and Beardsley. Everton slowly getting things right again. If they pull this off, that's really good business.

Fridge, with all due respect, everytime you are 'convinced' most often or not you are proved wrong.

Don't curse the lad.

You once were convinced Ferguson of Brighton was worth £80m and we should have replaced Kane with him.

Chill out big boy.

I was a scout for Salford city for 3 years, I watched deswbury-hall multiple times. He isn't just a flair player, he really is a good tackler. He tackles hard and is aggressive. He is good technically as well.

If we are buying a wide player then it should be someone ready to go like a Leao

He is Everton or mid table standard at best. Not for us.

Dibbling getting massively massively overrated. He may become great but is far from what we need right now. 1 half decent season in the prem and hes being talked up like a messi regen

posted 2 weeks ago

Chelsea sold ugochukwu and broja to burnely.

Hate them but have to hand it to them: they are able to extract good sales from their deadwood.

We have really recently struggled with this (exception of royal, skipp) - gil, lo celso, ndombele, reguilon, lamela, dier, sess,

Kudus is Son's replacement and Tel is Werner's replacement.

Can't see anymore forwards signed unless one leaves.

Levy out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We signed Kudus weeks ago, before Son had confirmed his position
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Son said he told frank when he came back he was leaving which was before we got kudus so you’d think he had already spoken with the higher ups before that
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We were bidding for Kudus well before Son came back from his hols

Not to mention Son and Kudus play on opposite wings, so never a replacement for Son.

Fermín López not in the Barca squad for their friendly today.

posted 2 weeks ago

Took a knock in training

Though the injury does not appear serious, Flick did not want to take any risks. He even offered Lopez a comforting hug before the youngster walked off the pitch.

Barcelona later confirmed that his absence is purely a precaution, although the player was visibly frustrated.

I think it depends on where we think we are right now. If we had a squad like City's where we naturally control games, then you want a Rodri type. At Spurs we don't have that luxury. We might want to have it eventually but for where we are right now with the squad we have, signing a 'spoiler' like Paulinha is the most realistic option. Eventually you'd want someone more cultured to dictate tempo but we're not there yet. You put Rodri or Carrick in a struggling side, they'd be next to useless. It's about what fits for the club at the current stage of the rebuild.

Wharton for me is the one that can do both but obviously everyone will want him.

We can have dreams of playing the City way but if the last two years has taught us anything, it's that it's you can't play fantasy football with substandard players. You need protection. The difference Paulinha will make will be huge. We needed him in Ange's system but he just wouldn't want to set up to protect. That was the problem. Frank has the right idea here.
