In fairness you'd probably only get given a £3m budget in real life at championship level

Still could get a couple of decent players for that!

Most of my squad are rated at 70+ now but with £1m I struggle to buy one player at that rate.

Trick is to buy a few free agent players at big wages who are 70+ rated and sell them on in January then buy the players you want.

I really want Charlie Austin as he used to be a Poole Town player and also a new centre back but cannot afford that with £1m budget.

They can be even better if you grow them a bit

I signed a random generated free agent and then within a season and half PSG bought him off me for £38m

Signed a brilliant young player called Flamur Kastrati on the game, he's only rated 68 at the start of the third season but 2 months in and he's now rated 71 and it's shooting up.

Great signing I'd highly recommend for a Championship level team.

Missiroli was the random free agent I got, already worth £3.5m, going to sell him and buy Charlie Austin and Scott Loach.
