It is kind of strange is it not that DM has such a connection with us when he made his name at Liverpool?
I like reading his articles, mostly the same thing we think but from an insiders point of view he brings a balance to the tale
Matteo tells it like he sees it.
6 weeks ago we were looking at strengthening our squad.
Now it seems they are content to not sign any new players and expect last seasons peripheral players and youngsters fill the gaps.
I am really concerned about the lack of signings.
Are 1 or 2 quality players really going to break the bank?
Surely your first priority should be the team, other income streams such as ticket sales, merchandising and hospitality feed off of that.
We may have some really nice corporate boxes and hopitality, but who is going to want to use them to watch a second rate team.

There's a lot of second guessing on the forum when
no-one is privy to the policies of the club in transfers,
policy is over time not in the last week or two.
There is the danger now of different camps in the
Grayson story...'are you for him or against him?'...
the danger is that it will develop like the Bates issue.
I'm for Leeds and not against anyone who is either
a player or an official...until presented with evidence,
I prefer to think everyone associated with LUFC is
doing the best they can.
And this has been the most humblest day in my life!

njs, pie in the face, unless ur wife chins me! Good point. I like sg and think you are right. But if you elimimate the impossible whatever remains however improbable must be the truth. I am not privy to the goings on at er, but lookingat the signs, it points to lack of funds.
WW...so who is the alternative that will bring all the
wise judgement of players and tactics to take us to
success in the future?
Who is free to succeed him that most fans can agree
on?
Ozzy The truth to me at the moment is the
word 'stability'...what frightens me is the thought of
continual change of managers and players, this is not
a recipe for success. What we have at present is much
better than we had say 2 seasons ago..."the past is
gone...long live the future!" Batman, Gotham City,'58
Frank...Barnes is media, too nice and wears loud
jackets that dazzle!

I expect mid-table this year, but the second season up is always deemed harder than the first. Yet hardly anyone else has done anything in the transfer market other than Leicester, so you never know.
------------------------------------------
You're not following the market Elmondy, Ipswich, Hull, Watford, Palace, Brighton, Blackpool, Forest, Boro etc have all strengthened.
Would be good to see youth given a chance, will Grayson have the balls to do it.

Elmondy there's been planety of activity at the clubs listed, you can add Peterborough to that list too.
I don't like the loan route unless it's long term or for an emergency and even then would liek to see existing players given a chance.
If our squad can stay injury free, if we don't sell any more, if Gradel can recreate anything like last season's goal return, if defence bucks their ideas up, and if we get a couple of decent signings we might make mid table...
But that's an awful lot of ifs and we've seen already how our small squad can be completely changed by injuries.
And a single player here or there does not necessarily improve you enough to make you a force, unless they are a real powerhouse that brings the team fully together.

Are either of Brown or Rachubka a 'real powerhouse that brings the team together fully'?

There have some interesting prem loans in the division and I certainly feel the quality of some of the transfers outside of Leicester are still of a calibre that could have improved Leeds.
I don't think looking for Prem players is necessarily the right approach, as we're always looking for the Amdy Faye's, not the 'Strachans'....unless we could get a good loanee as Posrtmouth did last season with De Laet and Halford (who has now signed permanently).
I'd be looking for players who have experience of this division and getting promoted from it.
