Would have been funny all the same to at Romney for 4yrs though.

Romney probably could have won if the whole Republican party didnt shoot itself in the foot regarding rape and abortion. Obama won the women vote comfortably
I still dont see how they actually thought it was okay to completely make it illegal for women to have an abortion. I said it from the beginning, It should be a womens right to choose. And if you don't want to have an abortion, dont get one. But dont force your views on someone else because its against your religion.
sorry if this kicks off again
Doubt there would be much laughing but all the late night US shows are kicking themselves.
---------------------------------
Too true. The Euro is in deep poo and if the US had started the cuts proposed by Romney, the world whole world would go into a depression.
Don't think anyone would be laughing when everyone in the world started losing their jobs. It may happen anyway unless the Eurozone carefully dismantles the Euro.
jenius
they were gonna sit there and let it happen as well. just to please the 1% and all of Romneys pals. with the same people who refused every job bill Obama tried to pass/
The country was literally going to go completely different directions depending on who won tonight.
Important thing now is that Obama needs to bang heads together on both sides and do what is best for the states because as you say an unstable America has a domino effect for Europe.
Didn't a prominent Republican after Obama won four years ago comment that the main mission was to make sure he was a one term President, hardly a unifying approach and the Republicans Must do their bit this time to back President Obama.

I don't understand why everyone has to associate abortion with religion?? I get religion has not helped here, but it is a lot more complicated then that.
I wouldn't trust anything the Repubs say or do.
Maybe when the hype has died down they will realize that their lurch to the right and pandering to the tea party has actually cost them votes and at least 4 senate seats. I am sure the $3bn they wasted on getting no where near winning will have some impact. Obama will end up with almost exactly the same numbers as in 2008, in popular vote as well as the electoral college.
I think the racists will be kept in check by their pay masters to avoid going over the fiscal cliff. Hopefully that will buy the time the French/Germans need to fully comprehend that the path they are on will not work. It doesn't need a believer in Keynes to understand that you need some parts of the world to maintain some growth, however anemic, when the Eurozone goes into a triple dip.
I don't understand why everyone has to associate abortion with religion??
**
because 95% of people who are anti-abortion are so on religious grounds.
Anyone wanna bet Hilary will be next
Anyone wanna bet Hilary will be next

I think that was obvious from Bill Clintons sore throats from his constant campaigning for Obama this time compared to 2008.

Why not ignore that and look at it from a logical point of view? I was pro-choice, until I did that.
I'm personally against abortion but that is my opinion and my choice and will not force it on anyone.
A woman's body belongs to her and what she chooses to do with it is her prerogative.
However if my daughter got pregnant and wanted rid of a baby she didn't want, I would be there to support her through it and wouldn't judge her or dictate to her
I am not 'for' abortion or 'against' abortion.
I am male and will never have a baby so it doesn't really concern me. But if I was a pregnant woman who didn't want one I would be glad that abortion was available to me (up to a civilised point in my gestation period). If I wanted my baby I would still be happy that other pregnant women who were not as happy about being up the duff as me still had the choice to abort theirs.

you are one of the 5%?

Yes, but why does that matter? Can we not have a debate about abortion without bringing religion into it? Look back on pages 1-17, never once did anyone bring God in to it
the whole Republican manifesto is based on their (warped) interpretation of Scriptures. You can't untwine right wing politics with religion in the US. Abortion is a big debate in US politics.
the right wing mob are ultra religious nut jobs that believe that rape is what God intended. The reason Romneys religion was brought up by them so many times in the Republican primaries. thats who most of their social votes come from. people not believing in abortion, gay marriage etc etc because of their religion.
Im not very religious. but i lean pro-choice. But at the end of the day, like someone above me said, it doesnt bother me that much. The decision should up to the women to decide what she wants to do with her body
as long as shes a damn good sandwich in the kitchen

Americans are so conceited, greatest nation on earth really?
separation of Church & State was to completely obliviate this from ever happening.
tbh, i dont even think Obama is that religious.
showtime, doesnt every nation think theyre the greatest nation. hes the president. he isnt gonna exactly come out and say were about 4th when it comes to being the greatest nation, is he? Admittedly, were probably way past that. you get the point though.

it says a lot about the Romney/Republican campaign that one of the most unpopular incumbent Democrat Presidents ever with the terrible US economic numbers that currently prevail at the moment was returned to the WH so easily. Unheard of before today.
