I wish he'd never been appointed & if we could replace him with someone more suitable, then i would rather this was sooner rather than later.

PS. David Moyes was always my preferred choice.

Chronic.

yes i see your point. but you are not being rational

===============

Why not? What am i saying that is irrational? I think i have been pretty contructive in what i have said. What part of my posts (on this article) do you not agree with

apologies chicken. i misread the answer and thought it was written by AVB's hair, not by you.

Moyes has done an amazing job at Everton

==================

I saw a short interview with him by Lineker shortly after the news that Harry was sacked, and whilst he remained respectful to Everton, you could tell he expected a call, and didnt rule out an interview with our board.

I really thought he was going to be the No.1 candidate.

I always had my doubts about Moyes joining us, you could see he has something very special at Everton, I think this season they will finish 4th

Yeah I just don't see him moving. I'm not saying that it's a side step but he's been at Everton for a long time, they pay him VERY well and he's building something over there, on a shoe string as well. Even the anti-Kenwright fans have shut up for now because they're having a nice time, have been all year. He wasn't going to move this summer. They've got some top players in there like Jelavic, Fellaini, Mirallas is very good as well, Naismith is decent, Osman a good player, actually they've got quality all over the park right now. Only had to part with Rodwell who was hardly pulling up trees.

If Moyes moves it will have to be a major step up because I don't think he'll accept otherwise.

Moyes won't be leaving Everton anytime soon, I'm really impressed with what they're doing at the moment! I like watching Everton

"I always find it's not just the exsisting squad that attracts talent, it's also the manager who is key"

So RdM vs Arry would be the reason Hazard etc chose Chelsky.
Some players do take that into account, but not many.

There were rumours that Fellaini wanted out, and Pienaar was still at Spurs remember.

I just thought he was worth a punt.

We didnt get him, and thats that, but the only reason i mentioned that was because i knew the question was likley to arise.

On a serious note (and this debate has been okay to be fair), i haven't rated him from his Chelsea days, he has done nothing to change my mind since his Spurs reign, i dont like what i see on the pitch, his decision making is baffling (at best), so obviously i'm going to stick with my gut feeling for now.

Its nothing disloyal to Spurs, i will always be behind the team - but this doesnt mean i have to rate the manager in charge.

Anyway Chicken, if I were you I would be rationalising and desperately clinging to whatever I had left, such as injuries coming back and the prospect of improvement. But hey, I have supported every manager Chelsea has had nearly. Felt bad for Grant actually, it nearly went so well and then went so badly. Felt Ancelotti was hard done by at the time when retrospectively he probably needed to go given his track record at transition. Felt awful about AVB.

Ancelotti was worst though (at the time). If we sack Robbie for Pep (unless there is some sort of major major cockup) I will be absolutely FURIOUS

BTW I don't mean to come across as preachy in any way, i'm not saying that what I do is the right thing to do at all, it's just what I am like

Which will be a bad thing beeeeeecause?

Every time i watch Spurs i pray that i am wrong about him. There is nothing more i would like (football wise) than to be wrong about this.

As such, if injured players coming back improves us i'm not sure why i would be desperate to hold onto anything.

Certain posters wanted Harry out last season, but i genuine believe they still wanted the team to do well - its what fans do. We dont have to like everyone associated to our club - that would just be silly.

With respect, did you even read my posts above about strange decision making & substitutions, as part of the reason i believe he is out his depth?

I feel dreadfully sorry for AVB in this job atm. Comes into a team which the previous regrime overachieved MASSIVELY with, gets arguably two out of the best three players in that squad replaced with sub-standard quality (however you dress it up, despite being good players Dembele & Dempsey just aren't Modric & VDV..... it's that simple), plus a terrific but utterly redundant goalkeeper causing him a massive political problem in the process, and gets expected to just pick up where Harry left off??? I wouldn't have thought any less of Harry if he couldn't have picked up where he left of such as the level of overachievement, let alone a man with over 3 years managerial experience.

You all seriously need to give him some space to establishment himself, he isn't the kind of manager you fit into a squad of players, you give him the tools to build a squad in his image otherwise it won't work short or long term..... if he's ever gunna be a success, Levy's gunna need to give him what he wants occasionally, which may mean overspending to bring in the quality he personally earmarks, such as Willian.

posted on 14/11/12

Thudd - AVB will not be 'chased out' by the fans. He was dragged kicking and screaming from the Bridge. He's no quitter. It will come down to Levy's rather itchy trigger finger.

Frankly, if Levy removes AVB I think he should resign. It will be another admission of failure on his part.

I say that as someone who was one of his biggest fans and forgave him for the Ramos appointment.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Very perceptive. If AVB was sacked anytime within the duration of his existing contract, it'll be just as much of a failure on Levy's part as AVB's.

Even at 35 y/o, you know what you get with Andre, you also know what you need to get the best out of his management. You as the man who appoints him are accountable if you don't acknowledge this.
