Birmingham City boss Pep Clotet has left the club after Wednesday's 3-1 defeat by Swansea City.
The Spaniard, 43, was set to leave the Championship side at the end of the season but said it was "mutually agreed" he would step down immediately.
Birmingham have not won in 10 league matches and are 17th in the table.
Clotet was assistant to former boss Garry Monk before succeeding him as head coach, initially on an interim basis, in June 2019.
He had previously worked under Monk at Swansea and Leeds, before a brief spell as Oxford manager, but when Monk was sacked by Blues last summer, they parted on bad terms.
Before his new club Sheffield Wednesday played Birmingham in November, Monk said he had made an "error of judgement" in working with Clotet.
But the pair shook hands before a meeting between the two clubs at St Andrew's in February.

His lawyers had argued that he enjoyed total immunity while in office and that Congress had no valid justification to seek the records.

William Frederick Stone (23 September 1900 – 10 January 2009) was one of the last five surviving First World War veterans who served in the United Kingdom's armed forces and one of the last two surviving seamen worldwide, along with Claude Choules. They were also the last two to have also served in the Second World War, although Stone saw action only in the Second World War as he was still in training when the First World War ended.
Stone was born in Ledstone, Kingsbridge, Devon and enlisted in the Royal Navy on his 18th birthday. He served on board HMS Tiger shortly after the end of the First World War, before serving on a number of ships including HMS Hood. At the beginning of the Second World War Stone was serving on the minesweeper HMS Salamander before moving onto the light cruiser HMS Newfoundland in 1941. Royal Mail has been fined £1.5m by the regulator for being late with first class deliveries and overcharging customers for second class stamps.
Ofcom said Royal Mail missed its target of delivering 93% of first class post within a day of collection.
It also overcharged people £60,000 after raising the cost of a second class stamp before a price cap was officially lifted.
Royal Mail admitted it was "disappointed" with its performance.
In the 2019 financial year, Ofcom found that only 91.5% of first class post was on time.
"Royal Mail let its customers down, and these fines should serve as a reminder that we'll take action when companies fall short," said Gaucho Rasmussen, Ofcom's director of investigations and enforcement.

Photographer Fiona Adams, whose famous shot of The Beatles jumping in the air was used on the sleeve of the Twist and Shout EP, has died at the age of 84.
Adams captured the iconic image of the Fab Four on a London bomb site for Boyfriend magazine in April 1963.
The photo was then used on the record sleeve and has been described by the National Portrait Gallery as "the one that defined their early look".
Adams also snapped many other pop acts, from Bob Dylan to the Rolling Stones.
According to the late photographer's website, The Beatles "readily agreed" when Adams asked them to pose for Boyfriend magazine.
Having previously spotted an undeveloped bombsite near Euston station, she hailed a taxi and took them to the abandoned area.
"I climbed down the rubble into a bombed-out cellar, open to the sky, and had a wonderful session with the Beatles lined up on the wall above," she wrote.
Adams went on to take many more shots of John, Paul, George and Ringo, the last of whom celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this week.
One of Boohoo's largest shareholders is dumping stock in the fashion firm after it said the company had failed to address concerns about working conditions at a supplier in Leicester.
Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA) criticised Boohoo's response to exploitation claims as "inadequate in scope, timeliness and gravity".
Allegations of poor pay and conditions at a factory emerged last weekend.
Boohoo has since announced an independent review of its supply chain.
The fast fashion retailer's share price fell 2% to 279.7p each.
A Sunday Times report claimed workers at a factory in Leicester - currently in local lockdown following a spike in Covid-19 cases - were paid just £3.50 an hour, while being offered no protection from coronavirus. It was making clothes for Boohoo's Nasty Gal brand.
