De Gea best keeper in the league?

That's not the point though, we're talking about De Gea. Typical some of you United fans, if somebody doesn't say your player is the best, you attack the players from his/her team. Grow up.

I call this Utd fan syndrome, they kick moan and cry if one of their players isnt 'the best in the world' in that position or if they arent considered a brilliant player. When that 20 season awards thing came out, Ive never seen so many fans throw there toys out of their pram when their team didnt win every award

'statistically he was the best'

You can manipulate stats to say basically anything you like.

to be honest he was single handedly winning us games last season before we started taking a more conservative approach. Against arsenal it could have finished 14-6 last season quite easily.

Statistically Britton was better than Xavi last season.

Statistically Adam was better than Modric the season before.

Dont be an idiot Haf.

trust me last season de gea struggled at crsses. This season he has done better at them on whole. We just need vidic baxck.

To be honest I don't think there's a big difference between any of the first choice keepers in the PL, the standard is fairly high. Some are better than others (e.g. Reina's fairly average these days, but even he has his moments) but the the only one I REALLY wouldn't want would be Rob Green who just can't do anything.

Szczesny, Lloris, Cech, Jaaskelainen, Schwarzer, Hart, Reina, Cesar, Howard, Vorm, Krul, Foster, Begovic, Ruddy, Krul, Friedel. Even Tremmel and Mannone who weren't expected to get a game have been decent, especially Tremmel. Is De Gea really that much better than all of them? He reminds me of Al-Habsi in that he makes plenty of good saves but always has a clanger or two up his sleeve.

I don't think Vidic is ever gonna be the same. Evans and Jones are the future.

Evans is dodgy. If Evans played for Arsenal United fans would crucify him week in week out. Although it should be said he would definitely be worse at Arsenal. Fergie gets the best out of some fairly poor players.

vidic thinks heading a ball into our box is like scoring a goal. He is a magnet they say. He will be the same.

meant in our penalty box is like for him scoring a goal.

Freidel is class

shame he never had a crack at a title contending team.

If he was we'd be having him as best in the league conversations.

That's really what it comes down to, there are a lot of players who if given a crack at a top side would be instantly rated much higher. not as the 'star' players of course but a lot of the defensive roles and keep things ticking over types.

To be fair I kicked off when 2011-12 won the best season award and also when Rooney won the best goal award. Personally I don't think there can be a 'best goal', you can have your favourites but you can't really choose a best. That said, Rooney's a and they could've picked a better goal.

Evans is a very good player and has been excellent this season. He wouldn't play for Arsenal, they sell good players, not buy them.

Yawn. I'm just saying, in theory. I know it won't happen, and I wouldn't want it to, I'm happy with our CBs. Evans has been alright, better than previous seasons but still looks quite shaky.

Ah right, sorry. I thought you were saying Arsenal would actually buy a good player instead of selling one. My bad.
