Arab

Maybe something might happen in January who knows if we are dead set on acquiring him. He may not move in January but a deal could possibly be agreed.

If one club reacts, then others may follow suit to try and secure him.

Yeah if a deal happens he'd probably remain there on loan till the summer, but I don't fancy us in a bidding war. Are Porto and Lyon really rich?

porto dont spend much

They can spot a great talent though, especially in South America

3 players id like us to sign are

Lars Bender
Mats Hummels
A winger

Well Porto I would imagine have some money to spend after selling Hulk, Guarin and Pereira and if they end up selling Rodriguez, they'll certainly have money to spend, not sure about Lyon though.

I'm not sure how comfortable Porto would be competing in a bidding war with one of Europe's top clubs though.

They normally sign players who have gone under the radar unnoticed.

Koke looks a real talent from what I have seen.

Not in Banega's bracket though. But he is only 20.

If it came to a bidding war with those 3 we'd have no problem. Especially Lyon, who are skint.

@CheGiaevara: As of right now, FC Porto are the ones with the highest bid. They have €9m for Hector Herrera (via @LopezOlvera )

Just seen that.

If he goes, it'll almost certainly be for more than £8 million.

Surely we can trump a 9m bid?

9mill euros is around 7.5 right

£7.5mill*

Oh there's no doubt but if it does go to a bidding war, there's always a price we won't go above because we may value the player at a certain price and are unwilling to pay anything over that figure.

I think the limit we'd bid would be about £12m

@CheGiaevara: From what I can gather; if Pachuca are to sell Herrera, they'd wish for the biggest deal ever in Mexican football (more than €8m).

@CheGiaevara: They would also wish for Herrera to remain in Mexico until the summer of 2013 before completing his move to Europe.

This transfer is made for us, we always love getting business done early.

No way of knowing what we value him at.

He might just be a player at a relatively low price that we are considering buying to improve the squad? I don't know how good he is though, but if it does get too high I'm sure they'd just persue another target.

True Darren.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hear more about this one soon.

Do you guys think giggs and scholes will retire this season?

I really do hope so Nan but it just wouldn't surprise if one or both stayed on.

posted on 20/12/12

I think we should offer them in part exchange.

I've a feeling Giggs will stay on but Scholes will retire.

Could we try and make them believe it was for a part exchange deal when in fact it would be just for a very long holiday to Mexico?

I hope so.
