AVB has rotated the squad brilliantly all season, so much better than Harry ever did and we are getting results. No one can deny the job he is doing at the moment.
FA +/- Europa cup runs will be a big test for the PL run in.
But that is the challenge the top PL club managers have to deal with.

AVB has impressed me a lot with his style since coming in; harry's methods kind of poisoned me into thinking that we didn't have the strength to compete without Modric; but I really don't care anymore.
Now we're in the top four and picking up points consistently, along with a nice cup run.
Europe is my only worry, as I'm not sure how far we can carry on.
But, If AVB is top stock he'll see us through; and at least he's giving it a damn good go, rather than Harry playing everything down as pointless.
"rather than Harry playing everything down as pointless."
Once we've got enough UEFA ranking points to offset the 5 yr rolling window, and are still nowhere near the last 8, then you could write off the Europa if it means the PL target is achieved.
It seems to be all coming together, doesn't it :D
The most impressive for me is that he's rotated and changed the defensive players/their positions as well as the goalie, but we only seem to be getting better and better in our performances there. Solidification
Taricco - I'd take the FA Cup over Europa any day of the week personally

i was tlaking about RBDB's post.
I'd take the Europa Cup over the FA Cup.
Simply because it has more recognition to potential targets outside of England.
yeah, Europa cup all day long.
Eurpoa over Fa cup for me.

Is that an anagram?
well yeah, fair point i suppose.
"Is that an anagram?
analgram (as usual from JPB) .
I dont think Harry knows what the word "rotation" means
AVB is brilliant at it, also including youth into the team, Caulker would only have got in if there was injury under Harry AVB rotates them into the squad.
Another thing he seems to do is like Harry did; let players do their thing, but unlike Harry, he makes sure their position is covered, Vert and Sandro for example, the team remains fluid, but keeps it's shape.
I might be talking too soon, but the last 10 minute ghost also seems to be put to bed, which shows he has the ability to identify the cause of problems and rectify them.
Im really liking the bloke atm
I think Abramovich now realises he made a massive error in letting AVB go as the problems at SB were down to the egotistical nature of Terry, Cole & Lampard who created their own player power which undermined Scolari as well who was a World Cup winning manager with Brazil.
Nice article, some decent points. I think our mentality is changing under AVB and this should grow stronger as the season comes into its climax.

not sure if anyone knows this but apparantly Roman was furious with the chelsea players when they basically got AVB the sack by not playing well for him. Roman really didn't want to get rid of him and actually believed in him but had no choice. AVB is a top manager and is proving it each week with spurs.
Oddiy, also i agree with you mate. AVB rectifying our problems and faults pretty well. We were really dodgy at the back and conceding late goals and like you say we have now cut that out. We were also getting bad results at home and now we are on fire at the lane. We were playing pretty bad football at times but now we seem to be back to our fluid best. AVB
Of course Roman had a choice. He fines the players causing the problems and tells them that AVB will not be sacked so they either get on with it or they will rot in the reserves.

He had a choice. Same with RdM.
The guy wants "success" , but nobody knows what it is.
S mouse, he can't fine every player can he. If a lot of the chelsea team were turning against AVB then roman had no choice but to get rid of him. He was furious and actually went to Cobham to personally give them a bo lloking!!!
