why though ? when other players were disciplined/ dropped/transfered under harry for minor misdemeanors, how was it that benny's apparently appallingly sloppy attitude was made out to be some sort of loveable character quirk ?
Yes, his persona does appeal to the fans.
But to compare his antics to Bib Boy is offensive.
the thing that appeals to the fans is harry's story telling.
suckered in without thinking about the double standards his stance on the player reflected, and the potential disruption the associated antics could be causing to the team and to the player's performance.
he needs to be concentrating on his game, not on acting the clown.
But Bryans 9 times out of 10 he puts in a consistant performance..
You could argue that Benny's attitude was actually more professional than his team mates, who's opinion of the opposition may affect their performance.
Certainly it didn't bother Harry, who was paid to make those decisions.

- driving around town throwing cash to the masses etc
