Grandspurs..................in my opinion we should not be thinking of judging AVB until 18-24 months time. Which in my view is about how long managers need to stamp their style & personality on a club.

I have to disagree there I think if we finish in 4th again AVB will have had an outstanding season The league position may be the same but the problems overcome on getting to that position will not have mean we have stood still.

I dont think he has a weaker squad to be honest and I would agree he has done a better job than Harry which is why all this "Harry is gone get over it" crap gets on my nerves.

Nobody has actually asked me that question and IMO we look a far better, more resilient side than we ever did under Harry. Dont get me wrong Harry got some great results but he also had some mares. Inter Milan away 4-0 down Real Madrid the same. We actually look capable of grinding out a result now when we need to so given a choice between AVB and Harry I would actually go for AVB

Look lads its simple as this, it looks like to get a CL place we have to finish above arsenal. When's the last time we did that in the prem? So the odds are stacked in the favour of the anti Avb lads

No a couple of weeks ago I posted facts about our performance so far this season on this article I asked for FACTS regarding AVB. Was it that hard for you to tell the difference ?

You only have to hear the silence of The press and media witchhunt, which lasted for a full three months, AVB rose above it, and now the silence from the media is deafening. That alone should tell you how good AVB is doing

The obvious question to pin me down was "who do I think has done better Harry or AVB".

I would have to go with AVB at the moment to be fair. So this article was not designed to criticise him in any way whatsoever but of course those with reading difficulties dont appreciate that at all.

The person I expected to go OTT was weare but he actually read the article and then gave me what he considered to be answers, Yes I asked WHY people considered AVB to be a success and he named a number of reasons.

So did a few others (even sindy ffs) but as expected those with a mental age of 11 and a mental capacity of 10 starting with the normal crap and immediately became defensive about AVB without giving a reason.

The old 606 was not the best thing in the world but jesus compared with this board it was full of oxford scholars

The problem you're having with the responses is twofold. Firstly you made several points to which people could respond, if you'd been more succinct you'd have got more succinct replies.

Secondly there is no denying your previous anti AVB stance. You say you're not criticising him but you still hope he proves you wrong.. those statements create conflict.

Anyway, to the football. I think Thudd said it best - we're third. The fact that you need any factual information beside the league table is odd, and implies that you need something more to be satisfied. Hence the many wordy, "off topic" responses to your article.

Sorry dude but the bulk of this article is the same the previous one (i.e. giving us stale FACTS that we've not beaten enough top 7 teams). That you added 1 or 2 sentences asking posters to explain why they already consider him a "success", doesn't make it less of a reharsh

For what its worth its obviously too early to call him a success just as it was way too early for you lot to write him off before he took charge of this first game...

I wont deny we look a harder team to beat for sure

early season we were having about 350 passes a game, thats up to over 500 now and we are keeping the ball better, creating lots of chances and only team in prem league to have scored in every away game

I dont think we are creating anywhere near as many chances as last season but then we look a lot less likely to concede which you have to accept unless you want to go gung ho like we did at times last season
