Isn't it just a rumour he has such a deal?
^Restraint clause, gagging clause etc
it wasnt even coming 4th not 3rd that got him the sack imo.
it was his refusal to budge on contract talks, his fractured relationship with levy, and his comments in the press, that eventually made his position untennable in the eyes of the topman. in the end i guess he had to go.
he did a good job at spurs overall, and overall the fans remember him fondly, but if he continues his snide comments and digs at the club like he has been doing for a while now, then we will remember him as the nearly man who couldnt keep his trap shut and ended up getting the sack
"Isn't it just a rumour he has such a deal?"
Well for Arry to have gone so long without blabbing about it to the press, suggests this is the case.
Still would like the LINK though.
"it wasnt even coming 4th not 3rd that got him the sack imo."
IMHO that was the thing that probably sealed his fate.
honest question guys-do you think if he'd be given leeway to bring in better re-enforcements than Nelsen and Saha last January that you might be enjoying a CL campaign atm?
rdbd i think it wasnt that. that didnt help, but ultimately i think it was the other little things i mentioned

possibly but no guarantees.
10 points clear though... it wasnt as if we sold bale and brought in saha.. we still had our big players and those two to compliment matters... i honestly thought levy thought there is no way we would mess it up. but we found a way to
Do you think he has any place talking about Spurs at all now? How would you feel if you were a QPR fan and he was still talking about his ex-team?
14 pts from 14 games might keep relegation dodging managers in their jobs but it cost Spurs massively and with the squad/team we have it was unacceptable.
I also think that with a new training facility, big money to spend we were looking to build for the future. Instead of Dembele Fryers Holtby HR would be wanting Lampard, A Cole and J Cole.
IMO it was the right decision at the right time. I was not sure AVB was the right replacement but he is proving himself.
Chronic :
I think Levy might have let all the Arry-ness go (what a "character" etc) , if the bottom line had been achieved.
Arry-ness + no CL piggie trough IMHO sealed his fate.

well i wouldnt be happy if when he was spurs manager he was moaning about portsmouth.
but avb was moaning about chelsea earlier this season.. it happens.. although with harry it happens alot as he is a blabbermouth
"do you think if he'd be given leeway to bring in better re-enforcements than Nelsen and Saha last January that you might be enjoying a CL campaign atm?"
Perhaps.
Correspondingly, with the squad he did have, do you believe his teams should have been able to have converted one of the losses in the last 15 or so PL games into a draw ??
"Do you think he has any place talking about Spurs at all now?"
Yes. He is at the least only human.
I remember Harry Redknapp conducting his business through Chinese Whispers with the Press at a time when Daniel Levy was going through some troubled personal times plus Harry was very non commital on signing the new contract he was offered due to the fact that the England Manager's job was up for grabs.
I think Levy felt let down by Harry as we were very supportive when his court case was on with The HRMC all these factors got Levy thinking about appointing a more forward thinking coach to mirror our new training facility at Enfield.
Sour grapes by Harry he had the chance but blew it I am afraid.
Surprise surprise but i agree with everything Harry said.
If you set someone a target, and they hit it, regardless of other stuff going on, then you should stand by that man (within reason).
I dont begrudge Harry wanting a job he saw as the pinnacle of his career, just like the Bale's etc will do in the future. Our target was 4th, we finished 1pt from 3rd, it was our best ever Premiership finish - i genuinely dont see the logic in sacking the manager whoever he is.
I have always praised Levy for the way he runs our club, but i'm still not impressed, or see the professional logic, for that sacking.
Lets see what tosh he spouts when QPR get relegated. "They didn't back me in the transfer market, they were all fackinggg useless money grabbing cannttss" ect ect. You only have yourself to blame for getting the sack, buttering up the press about the England job and the like. The more he goes on the less I appreciate what he did for us.
