Boo the fans who are booing
He puts in a shift most matches, don't let the Chelsea hating press let you think otherwise.
----------------
Really? I go to most home matches and I don't need the Chelsea hating press to tell me that he can't be bothered anymore. After two years I'm fed up. Boo him.
TrueBlue - Booing will make him play so much better won't it!!
The booing isn't intended to make him play better - nothing can do that.
The booing is to clearly show the morons on the board, who have played that clown £150k a week for two years, that enough is enough, he has to go.
Really, I have missed 1 home match all season and I agree with Guv.
TCP, I think you ar joking but if you aren't that is the worst thing to do as it just increases the boos. A boo is a boo and those that hear it do not know it is directed at Rafa or a person booing in the crowd, it does not help the team.
The argument is that if you boo a player when he comes off (eg on Wednesday) then that's a sign that the fans expect much more from you, so should be a kick up the backside after a dreadful display (a regular occurrence).
But booing Rafa during/before a game is counter-productive
If fans really wanted to make themselves heard then they should have chanted for Ba to come on more. At least that's a bit more positive
By the way, I did get slightly bored by the Lampard chants in the first half. I can understand if it's when they want him to come off the bench but not just for the sake of it
There is another way - score every minute
True Blue, booing will not help. They will not sell because you boo, first they would need a buyer, without that you cannot sell.
JFDI, they need an incentive to start the selling process. If Abramovich isn't smart enough to realise that keeping Torres on the payroll is bad business and is detrimental to the club, then he needs reminding from the crowd.
I have complete sympathy with the boo boys (although I don't boo myself as i'm in a quiet part of the west stand). We have cheered and supported Torres in vain for two years, and he just been one big disappointment.
True Blue, it's his business. You think booing isn;t detrimental to the club?
I do not believe in booing at matches, I have never subscribed to I pay my money so I have the right.
In my view if you ain't happy with something don't do it.
CSTP - Boo a player for whatever reason will only make the ball seem like a hot potato to them - and they will not want to touch it - which could be what we are seeing with Torres now!
I honestly don't think booing Torres is any more detrimental then having him on the pitch.
I agree with you, if you don't want to boo then don't boo, I'm just saying that I have a lot of sympathy with the people that do boo. It's their choice, they pay the money for their ticket.
I love this article.
But I think we should keep booing Torres for having the audicity to play through illness. Disgraceful lack of effort.
Opposition boo's or taunts can inspire players to greater levels but is there really any evidence of a player doing better when his own fans are booing?
A young player getting better who goes from not very good to good and gets booed along the way doesn't count.
It's their choice, they pay the money for their ticket.
-----------------------------------------------
Doesn't show much for their support for the team does it!
I cringe when I hear booing at the ground - think what it does to the players!

Torres will never play better, and that is not the purpose of the booing.
No but your stuck with him either way, killing his confidence will not help...
Booing is just plain rude. Funnily it is usually the ill mannered who'll boo.
I'm a little bit confused with some of the comments by the Chelsea fans on this thread. Virtually all of us want Torres to leave our club, as he has played so badly for two years, and yet some of you want the supporters to just act as if nothing is wrong, to maintain the status quo.
And the language at football sometimes !
Well i have to cover my ears
Booing is also perhaps the most tribal and unintelligent way of expressing discontent.
