The whole myth comes from about two games, one was against Spurs where to be fair he was shocking and gave us an awful pen, I forgot the other but the media circus surrounding it was laughable.

Webb has been out to "Prove a point" in the last few games he's been ref with us and he's given us nothing and been very keen to blow the whistle for the opposition.

But hey let them all remember just a couple of games if it suits their arguments.

2. Skrtel should have blatantly been sent off. How was he not the last man. Welbeck was clean through.

---

This is why I don't think Webb should be ref for Utd anymore. He cannot give us anything even when it's blatant. The media and rival fans create such a fuss even if the decision is blatant.

This was never gonna be a red card not with Webb, he can't give Utd these things anymore.

Vidic was offside when the ball licked his face. So it looks like Webb will be on our books until June at the latest.

Glen johnson should of gone too!!

Ok firstly he was level, and secondly there is no way on earth the linesman and certainly not the red could have seen it even if he was offside (which replays showed he wasn't)

Red = ref ^

Webb will always be seen as baised. He sang a Liverpool anthem yet, no one makes anything of that. Even if he were to have turned up in a liverpool top at the match, people will still think he is biased for us.

Never booked downinig for a blatant dive.

It's amazing how quickly a scenario or two can cause a myth to be grown. It's like that ridiculous notion that Torres gives Vidic a horrid time, yet in reality he just took advantage of Nemanjas incorrect judgement of a ball and small slip.

I do think Webb sometimes gives blatant decisions against us to prove a point. Shame really, because he is a good referee. I could forgive the potential red card, I think Reina may, just may have got their first. However, Reinas injured, Liverpool attack and as soon as we get the ball, blow the whistle?!!

Now worries mate apologies if you thought was having a go.

Not sure why I replied to you like that, sorry

No apparently our goal was offside according to 'experts' on sky.
At least most scousers agreed we deserved the win anyway, Liverpool just aren't in our class anymore

Red card could have gone either way and I think everybody would be glad as keeping it at 11 v 11 made the game a better spectacle.

Vidic was offside for the goal but none of us are moaning because as you say you'd never be able to tell but you guys did benefit from a lucky decision which in the end won the game.

Stop being so miserable - the one the game with very very little controversy for once. Just enjoy it.

*you won the game.

Ergh - not with it today.

Wouldn't be surprised if SAF ships him out before the window closes

Rock Steady Crew, hope you see my apology above, didn't mean to make it look like was having a go.

Also how did Johnson not get a second yellow? That makes 3 red cards and a penalty that he ducked out of giving. Could you imagineif it was in favour of United!

Which tackle was it against Johnson?

posted on 14/1/13

Rugby tackle on Valencia when he was going for a counter, Johnson was already on a yellow card. Howard proving he isnt our 12 th man yet again

Greg - i would give up, people only see what they want to see.

Johnson would have been yellow carded had he already not received one. Webb was just proving that he doesn't give Utd decisions. As he has done on last few occasions.
