Should have gone to united. Serves him right for being a mercinery though!
Nasri is a class player but has really ruined his career by going to City.
He was a nail on starter for us and was given more opportunity to influence a game.
Problem with nasri at times is that he does slow down play a lot and always goes backwards and sideways when passing
City have ruined him. imo he is a quality player who would be great if he came back to Arsenal. That being said, Cazorla is doing a pretty good job at the moment and has been an excellent replacement for him.
Cazorla has done more at Arsenal in his first half season than nasri did during his whole time with us
Problem with nasri was that he played on the wings for us and really bogged down our play as he was never direct.
And then he couldn't get into the centre as that was occupied by Fab
from what i saw he was a player who showed occasional flashes of brilliance (goal v Porto)
Also that goal v Man Utd
Cesc made everybody look better than they were, but Nasri still has some great games when Cesc was not involved, ie Porto, 4-1 at WHL, Fulham, Leeds, etc
Nasri looked unanimously certain for the player of the year, 10/11 first half.
This wasn't due to Fabregas settng him up - Nasri was a sublimely gifted solo player, one of those who could win games on their own. He wasn't often a team player.
Then when speculation about City began, he lost his sparkle, and seems to have never regained it.
I was disappointed when he left, but now... don't care.
Quite like to have him back though.
Nasri in the middle? I don't think we ever won a single game when he played as a central midfielder. He always slowed down play with his stupid hip twists then having to pass backwards when everyone was marked and the opposition had recovered. I still insist we did well to get around 25m for him.
I remember calling him Mr. Flatter to decieve...
I would take him back in a heartbeat. Good player in an adaquat environment.
He doesn't use the clear ability he's got as well as he should.
Up until his last season he was a player with good technical abilities but someone who never influenced the match. But in his last season he started taking responsibilities and showed his true talents.
He ruined himself rather than city ruining him should never have moved. Closest player to Iniesta there is IMO.
You see it time and time again. A player who is the 'big fish' in the pond, like Nasri was with us when Cesc was out, was the focal point of the team, everything went through him, and he stood out.
Then, when they go to a team that's full of superstars, they struggle to shine.
The next case will be Bale imo, if he goes to Madrid or somewhere like that.
He's a fantastic talent, someone I'd definitely have back at Arsenal. He can be guilty of playing the odd pass too many or being too indirect but he's a very, very talented player.
I think Bale will be a success wherever he goes. The general consensus when Nasri left was that he was making a mistake. Same way people thought about Theo before he signed.
50P
What!! Comparing the two players in pure heresy! I can think of about 2 dozen players better than him. Even his technical ability is grossly overstated.
Would take him back though

Bale will be, but I guarantee if he goes to Madrid he'll be rated on the same level as Di Maria, not Ronaldo.
The closest thing to iniesta in terms of techical skills was Hleb

Good God! I don't even know what to say to this anymore.
Bale would play for Real Madrid Castilla if he went to La Liga.
He's nowhere near Madrid standards. Ridiculous.
So much hype surrounding this headless chicken.

In what way do you mean?
Hleb and Iniesta were similar players in terms of the way the played, but in ability they were miles and miles apart.
