Referenced what you were saying in the first sentence
Rest was for all
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aha. I guessed but didn't want to respond on why it becomes institutionalised until I was sure.
I notice this often at senior levels that people were frightened to do the right thing for the fear of how other would react. So a lot of owner/managers preferred to appoint a m8. That generally was someone they went to the pub with or in their network. At that point they weren't even considering the right man for the job. Racism becomes institutionalised. And in fact it is terrible for their business because they just lose the talent and opportunity to grow their business. Status quo is a very dangerous thing for a small business.

This is a good article.
https://research.msu.edu/innocent-african-americans-more-likely-to-be-wrongfully-convicted/
There is a full study in it which is very long but worth a read. https://www.law.umich.edu/special/exoneration/Documents/Race_and_Wrongful_Convictions.pdf
The US prison system relies heavily on inmates to sustain their business model. once you understand that, everything becomes clearer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I definitely think that exist but doesn't explain why there is so much black on black homicides and they make 13% of the population.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually that links both UK and US. Black people are ghettoised, marginalised in society and are generally the most deprived. Its also being reflected in how Covid is affecting certain minority communities. It is obvious why they are involved in the most violence because they live in the most crime ridden areas of the US and UK. Mostly btw to others in the same community.

These ideas and policies mean that any black person that is born into a system and society like this is up against it from the moment they enter this world.
------------
And this is the lie that is perpetuated among black American people.
It's a FACT that black immigrants earn more and do better than black Americans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you know it is a lie? Do you live in the US and witness the opposite on the daily basis?
Regarding the black immigrants, I might be wrong but to get a green card or even move to the US, don't you require to have a job in first hand?
If the case, then the starting point is different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I look at the stats. and listen to black American people like Larry Elder, Coloman Hughes, Thomas Sowell, John McWhorter, David Webb and more.
Those stats for Black immigrants also include 2nd generation those born and came when they were young in the US.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are black Americans who voted for Trumps. Ffs, Priti Patel is a child from migrant background too and now she is opposed to it. It is not because a person from minority background claims something that it make it true. The numbers are there for everyone to see.
As for the 2nd generation migrant, you need to understand that this is not something new. It has been going on from generation to generation. The kid living today in some deprived area in the US is likely to have had parents, grand parents, great grands parents and so on living in the same place with no many options to get out of it. But once someone managed to defy the odds and make it, it is unlikely that person's children will go back there.
IAWT This is where I disagree with you. There has been an active attempt by a lot to turn Brexit into a basically a racial issue. That ignores the fact that a lot of working class BAME people voted for Brexit for precisely the same reason why a lot of white working class voted for Brexit. Eastern European cheap labour has been cutting their wages. There is no doubt to that when at the same time Conservatives under May who operated a racist home office was busily imposing austerity and cutting services to the most deprived!

PP. I am not sure why you rely so much on opinion pieces rather than actual academic research. You keep on trying to draw a false equivalence. There isn't one! Academic research is peer reviewed and has some proper standing in trying to understand a complex problem.

I only skimmed the first link but that were not talking about systemic racism.
By the way PP, the poverty rate for African Americans and even African Immigrants is still too high.
Even though there have been improvements in economic empowerment for Afro-Americans and immigrants, they are still significantly lagging behind the white men in America even despite many of the Afro-Americans (as a proportion) being educated compared to the white men.
To be honest PP, even if I were to accept what you are saying (which I absolutely do not), racism is far more insidious and lies a lot deeper than just an increase of salary for black people. Surely, you of all people, would understand that.
I've skipped through past the pleasantries and the guy has just said that the reason there are many single parent families in black communities of American is because of the welfare state
I pass on the ready tbh, you can't just trot out a black guy and have him say racism doesn't exist and think that settles the debate

Arteta said it was run out to get mileage in their legs. It wasn't meant to be a proper game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cedric got a busted up face apparently.

So when I give you a list of books, articles and academic papers to look at that corroborates my view, the people providing those resources are 'perpetuating lies to keep themselves in a job' - which is a huge insult to their work, lived experiences and research.
But when YOU send videos of certain individuals that support your views, then they're infallible and are not flawed at all.
Right. Gotcha.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what infuriates me, a non black person telling a person of colour that what they are talking about is who lives it, has done their research and are successful that they are talking crap.
I don't like to use the racist card but that in itself is racist, how dare you tell these people that are looking at research in their own communities that they are wrong without you even looking into it.
Not all of them were trump supporters.
How dare you!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good that you are infuriated. So now go and see a black person living in the US who has been subjected to racism and discrimination that it is his or her own fault that they can't get out of that system
Me making assumptions for minority is exactly the same as you making assumption on people living in conditions you never experienced. So to use your own, how feckin dare you_
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know more and have interacted with more black american's than you do, I have a lot of family that's black American, I've been there many times, I'm involved in a relation. with them, been in the poor areas, middle class areas.
So I think I have a bit more knowledge than you.

Which makes it all the more confusing that you hold these positions.

They get their data from actual academic research.
Thomas Sowell is one of the US leading economic think tanks
