I believe the BoE will go directly to operations and not playing side or it would be a PR disaster for the government which is why we have seen quite a few lay-offs. They were trying to refinance the long term debt which is now not possible with the credit squeeze. Our wages have definitely been reduced with ending contracts. But that space can't be used to add wages next season because of the reduced income.

My hope is that if that really does happen, and I see it likely with no Euro income, we go for a top coach to develop the youngsters.

I am not sure what new players not from the top drawer are going to do immediately anyway? Partey, Gabriel, Willian, Cedric, Mari all had minimal impact this season and you could argue Partey and Gabriel were CL calibre players.

My last RT. Such a gulf between Wenger and Arteta. Wenger was risking it by playing youth in the battle for top 4, while Arteta is making excuses in the middle of mid-table mediocrity
