Calling it Moyes is a bit much but yes this is true. City kill games with possession whereas we do it by that mid/low block. Quite interesting in the differences of approaches I guess, I wouldn't have been an advocate for the way Arteta does it because it leaves games open to chance but......it clearly works

Look at the main coaches under Arteta.
Steve Round (till last season) - Moyes protege
Albert Stuivenberg - Van Gaal protege

Moyes/Van Gaal, two of the biggest block/counter exponents over the last two decades.

That’s interesting, don’t know that. Makes sense why Arteta has focused so much on defence and even in his first season we stopped getting exposed on counter from our own corners as was so prevalent under Wenger.
