tbf Brazil was one of the biggest destination for slavers. And black people were treated as second class citizens in their dictatorships. This is why Pele was considered such a 'breakthrough' hero because he was liked by both whites and blacks.

Yeah that's kinda what I thought, would be a decent replacement for Partey but probably less expectations in terms of game time and stuff. In footballing terms it makes more sense to keep Partey but if the finances are okay it might be better to get rid of having him hang over the club.
