These are averages from the 90s, pre nice new stadium for the Fickle Derby fans.
Now these are impressive
........................................................
Love to see how you can fit 20,000+ into a stadium with a capacity of about 18,000.
And in order to get 18,000 would also require the away fans to sell their full allocation of tickets for every game.
Did you see Flapper Legup against Cardiff
Talk about throwing it away.
You need to promote a GK from that famous academy
Maybe it's the Nottingham public at large, rather than the obvious diehards on here, who are so apathetic. Brian Clough always said that Nottingham wasn't really a football town, compared to Derby. It was remarkable that when Forest were European champions the ground was only two-thirds full for the matches in the European Cup the following year as Forest defended the trophy.
That's clearly a fickle excuse.
The last season at the Baseball Ground you averaged 17,889.
Ergo: Derby=Fickle
That was very near the capacity of the ground at the time, as you well know Strett. There used to be thousands outside, banging on the gates, not able to get in and see the team play.
That's clearly a fickle excuse.
The last season at the Baseball Ground you averaged 17,889.

.......................................
Forest=thickasfcuk
13,589 average was near capacity?
Early 90s you still had a 20,000+ capacity, so there were a similar amount of empty seats then, as now.
Even 666 could have occupied his 4 seat quota in relative comfort!

--------
Why thick.
Did you average 13,589 in 94/95 and then 17,889 in 96/97 or not?
Were there suddenly more seats?
Was there half time shearing entertainment?
Was there free stuff being given away?
There is one word which leaps out: Fickle
Now try to prove me wrong.
Strett, you are trawling back 18 years, Vidals example of the fickelry of forest fans is from 2013.
You're getting desperate.
Was there free stuff being given away?
......................................................................
That was later, at the next big increase of 'fans'.
WHAT???
Explain last season's average at Derby against this season's.
This will soon be the official OED definition of Fickle.
Exemplified by 33,000 when Forest are in town, compared with 23,000 average as a whole.
We fill your ground for you.
Our support is consistent and more numerous
Derby=Fickle.
It's not fickle Strett. It's protest, but most will only protest so much, they won't sacrifice witnessing stuffing you lot.
They are men who stand up for their beliefs while turning round and giving two fingers to the management.
If we spent £1,000,000 a point then all these fans would be back and our average would be 30,000.
What is your excuse. I still don't get it. Where are the 7480?

Half term that week
And also we sell more when it's only a tenner. Call that fickle for those without season tickets but at least it's a ticket that might not have been sold if that parent could not afford to take his kids otherwise.
Your freebies boost your gate. Where I work we get loads
Would be interesting to see gate receipts compared rather than numbers
Half term that week?
The Huddersfield match was Tuesday 19th: on Saturday 16th versus Bolton, with no worries about travel or work commitments, and for the home debut of King Billy Legend's Second Coming For Unfinished Business, you managed only 24k.
FICKLE.
There were friggin hundreds of the little beggars. More toilet trips in 45 minutes than I do in a year!.
As for "King Billy" ... most of the regulars around me can't stand him. All hype but it's working : 4 wins out of 4 and I can't complain
PS: is Clough out, or In?
Out this week in next week
Out yesterday, out today and out *forevermore.
*Unless of course he completely alters his tactics, gains an ability to make effective and timely substitutions and gets some actual coaches in instead of his sycophantic lapdogs, in which case "Welcome Aboard Mr Clough!"
In conclusion then, Clough Out.
I withdraw the accusations of racism, on reflection, because the legendary fickleness of Forest fans goes back at least to its European Cup glory days, long before racism was invented. I believe Brian commented on it frequently, and couldn't bear to live amongst such people.
It's noteworthy that one of the most vociferous protestors, "Strett", boasted earlier in this thread about the freebie he enjoyed at Fortress Flamingo this week, and without which he presumably would have had better things to do with his time than support his team. He also informed us that even with a free ticket, he was not prepared to do it sober. We can be grateful to the generosity of his benefactor - without such people, presumably the gate would not have swelled to the 19,000 figure.
You don't half read some rubbish on here.
To be fair to Strett, neither his knees nor the pavements of West Bridgford could cope with anything other than his sporadic attendance.
