Didn't make a lot of sense reading it back.

Oh - you're back!

Don't go down that route, Rameses, you'll paint yourself into a corner. Because factors like stable home and away attendances will count against you.

Anyway. Don't post anymore after this.

It brings the unerring truth that Notts County have fewer fickle fans attending games that either Forest or Derby pro rata

Rameses !!!!!

You have just ruined the whole aesthetic of this thread!

But true what you say. I imagine supporters of lower league and lesser clubs have to be, by their very nature, less fickle.

Oh! hold on a second - now I'm shooting myself in the foot!

This only applies to those Notts County fans attending games currently.
Their fickle fans disappeared ages ago and now probably support Man U.
But I would suggest that fickleness is linked to ones own psyche. A less loyal person or a selfish person or a person of low moral fibre is much more likely the demonstrate fickleness as they would be less likely to stick around when the going gets tough.
As these kinds of people are evenly spread around the country then it is fair to suggest that all clubs have a similar number of fickle fans.

pro rata of course

I agree with what you say there Rameses except there are more fickle forest fans.

This thread has proved beyond doubt that Forest have more fickle fans than Derby.

It was a marathon but we got there in the end.

Thread closed, end of debate. Goodnight.

NFFCSporty - I see your thread has managed to garner more than 279 comments.

But only taking 186 to Cardiff really is yet another huge embarrassment for the sheep.

Also, in keeping with the original topic, here's something else number related:

One win in eleven
They couldn't even beat us in their own back yard.

186

Iwas – that is a fair attempt to wrap this thread up with a ‘veil’ of denial, but the mathematical conclusion are obvious. With your apparent arithmetic ignorance, I can do nothing more than direct you to the same site as I did for Vidal – so you, too, can hone your skills for future use.

Sorry Rameses – wasn’t being rude, had to get off home for tea!

Sadly you seem to have got mired in the "totaled average" (sic) concept, the premise of which is flawed. As a general rule of thumb, anything which Strett says is incorrect. You may find this helpful in the future.

Strett claims that more Forest fans go to watch their team than Derby fans, but this assumes that different fans go to home and away games. It would be better to say that a greater proportion of Forest fans watch their team both home and away, but of course Derby have a far greater number of fans overall, as the statisitics clearly demonstrate.

There are many reasons why fans might be able to travel more often to away games: not having gainful employment that requires them to work at weekends, a desire to see football grounds and cities far more exciting than their own, etc, etc.

I am glad we have had this discussion. Although it has been drawn out, as Iwas says we have happily finally established that Forest fans are ficklier than their counterparts in Derby, and also fewer, that's FEWER, in number. We will never need to have this debate ever again and can now move on to other topics.

Is it true that Forest have more plastic fans dotted all over the country thus making away attendance more convenient than "home" attendance?

Is it any coincidence that the fickle spaztard who rang 999 about the Nani sending off was in Nottingham..?

He could have saved the emergency services a significant headache if only Fawaz had made the match a tenner

"trust this helps"

Using one of 666's catchphrases to try to prop up your argument is hardly going to help your cause.

I've rarely seen such a clear example of fickleness.

Fickleness also with a smidgeon of underlying racism.

You're just making things worse for yourself. Accept, and move on.
