He is a vigilante

Stick him in jail more than likely thinks he's above the law though nothing will happen apart from a fine and that will put a big dent in his bank account!!

@SkySportsNews: Carlos Tevez released on bail after being arrested by Cheshire Police on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified #ssn

posted on 8/3/13

He won't be locked up for that, couple if rand fine at most. I always wondered why these types of fines aren't done in weeks wages or something as opposed to a set price, to somebody like Tevez the money is nothing and he will probably continue to drive.

Never heard of anyone being sent down for driving whilst disqualified.

A fine might not affect his bank balance but the law doesn't take wealth into account, as well it shouldn't

If it was me, or you, it would be;

Prison.
Community service or curfew order.

Plus a fine.

I know he's never gonna get locked up for that i'm just bitter!

Prison for driving whilst disqualified, with no prior criminal record? Surely you jest Maestro?

If the judge feels that by driving you have shown disrespect to the court that imposed the original suspension, you will see the inside of a prison pad.

Isn't being disqualified class as a criminal offence?

It should say Mnachester City player not former United player but then again we do attract the most headlines

give him the bloody death penalty i say hung drawn and quartered

It's under the RTA so it falls into civil law I believe as opposed to criminal. He people who drive with no insurance though deserve to to be locked up IMO, pitting people's lives and livelihood at risk with nothing to fall back of is just wrong.

They're not going to imprison someone with his profile for driving whilst disqualified.

Imprisoning people for victimless crime is why the prisons are over-crowded.

The law comes down too harshly on the wrong people these days; you know something is wrong when 90 year old ww2 vets are getting imprisoned for council tax evasion because they can't afford it, but people are getting fines and community service for section 47s!

what an idiot

It's amazing how he can see over the dashboard in the first place!

Surprised no one has said anything about a good grilling from the police yet.

Why?
Fine a poor person 2000 pounds and you will never see the money.
Fine a rich person 2000 pounds - no point what soever they will continue to do what they do.
Fine a middle class person 2000 pounds and they most probably won't do whatever they did again.

Law is fecking stupid. Wealth should definitely determine how much you get fined

Prisions are like holiday camps now-a-days.

A few of the lads I grew up with, will go out and steal a car, just so they can go to prision. For stupid reasons too, like being homeless or having a drug/drink addiction.

When they're inside, they get 3 meals a day, a tv in their room, free gym, and even Christmas/Birthday presents.

Prisions, should be like this;

I disagree. One rule for all.

Just because you've got money, doesn't mean you deserve to be over charged.

Then whats the point in law, it only effects the middle class person.

Rich people can laugh at it. I mean take alook at Ballotelli parking in all these places - he doesn't give a sh iet. Fine him a shed load and then he will give a shi et.

One rule for all.

What next, attractive ràpists don't get as long in prison?

Women on their period at the time of killing someone can't be charged with murder?

The law needs to be consistent, not selective.

No that's just ridiculous.

The way it is at the moment, RICH people ARE above the law.
You say one rule for all?
Why are rich people allowed to do whatever the fk they want then and receive a pathetic fine where as if a middle class person received the same fine they would be financially fuc ked for months.

No they aren't...

I've read 3 separate stories about multi-millionaire's being imprisoned in the past 6 months for fraud and murder.

The law applies to us all equally.

It's not ridiculous, the law shouldn't be selective based upon someone's personal circumstance.
