Wolfie, you should live to regret your prediction on next years Champo promotion race. Your prejudice obviously prevents your intelligence from appreciating Miicks Champo record.
To remind you -
Full seasons
Millwall - Playoffs
S'land - Playoffs
S'land - Champions
Wolves - Playoffs
Wolves - 7th
Wolves - Champions
Bit of recalculation needed wolfie ?
You are forgiven Wolfgang.
I’ve given up trying to shame Sunny into dropping the stupid “right all along” bull by pointing out the times he’s been wrong but I think this particularly confident and arrogant prediction will be worth re-visiting throughout next season.
Ipswich will be there or thereabouts next season
I can't see any of the relegated teams doing a lot QPR need a new team..wigan I think will stay in the Championship for a while they have a small squad and have european footy to endure too. Reading will regroup under Adkins so may make the playoffs
Wigan's next managerial appointment will be the key.
Should they make the huge mistake of giving the job to a foreign coach that knows sweet FA about the Championship, they could very possibly follow us down to League One.
are we agreed then that Martinez has gone?
what odds on Laudrup to Everton and Martinez returning to Swansea?
McCarthy's record at Ipswich last season would have put them third if replicated over a full season. Whether he will get promotion with them next season or not I dont know. What is a certainty is that they will finish higher up the league ladder than the team he previously managed and who he would have had a good season with in 2012/13 even if he had retained all his so called dross.
Incidentally the above post from witless was in response to me saying that McCarthy stood more chance of managing again in the Premier League than Connor, Solbakken or Saunders ever would. Is there really any debate about that?
Sounds good to me Tino - put a pony on for me, I'll pay you out of the winnings
None DJ.
20-33/1 on Laudrup to Everton, 25/1 Martinez to Swansea. Nice double there Tino

Not with anyone with a brain.
I don't remember Martinez leaving on bad terms may put a couple of quid on just because
Oh tatter, tatty tatter. You really are a turnip head aren’t you?
If you bothered to ACTUALLY READ what I PUT up on here, you would know that what I said was that I wasn’t prepared to make ANY predictions LAST season. The reason I didn’t want to make any predictions LAST season was in case my HERO Stale fell short of my predictions thus leaving me with EGG ON my FACE
Oh Deja, Dejie, Dijeridoo don’t do that you made me think filtering had stopped working
20-33/1 on Laudrup to Everton, 25/1 Martinez to Swansea. Nice double there Tino
£10 pays £5,000 minimum?
Got to be worth a punt.
yer and thats with Laudrup at 20's
can afford to lose a tenner - 5k would be rather nice
I'd go two singles and a double. Cover all bases.
Don't like to poke the hornets nest, BUT given the strength of the Ipswich squad AND having one of the best champo managers at the helm........anything less than a top six finish would be a bigger failure than stale and deano taking wolves down
Nice water muddying Cinci but Ipswich have finished 15th, 13th, 15th, and 14th the last few years. They started last season with odds suggesting they'd finish, yep, you guessed it, between 12-16th. Since then they've added Stearman, who we all KNOW for a FACT is definitely not a Championship standard right back and Frank Nouble...I know it fits in much better with the agenda to say that Mick SHOULD take Ipswich up but, actually, doing so would be a really good achievement given the players they have.
And best friend WITSS agrees too.
They face some big changes in the summer.
Their wage bill is currently very close to 100% of turnover and that will need to be reduced but even so I think they will be challenging for a playoff place and if they can manage that while competing against teams that have parachute payments then i think MM will be judged a success there. After all it’s been a decade since they finished in the playoffs.
Next season will reveal all and i look forward to revisiting this thread on a regular basis.
it was tongue in cheek a little ulf
I fully expect them to be top six, but i did fully expect them to be top six last season after the efforts they made in the summer.
