Galatasaray give up on Nani

thanks dude

Absolutely disgrace to bid €7m for Nani, ofc it's declined.

Anything lower than £20m should be rejected and stated that the club is no longer interested doing buisness due to such a poor way of trying to bring players.

I mean, all Nani need is a little bit of a kick and the player is right back there as a squad+ player.

He will probably never be Cristiano, but look at things he have done in the past, no reason not to print a 20m price tag on him.

Maybe moyes doesn't deal with the negotiations directly but being manager he obviously has the final word as to whether or not to let a player go for certain fee unless of course the board interfere

Just because he doesn't officially take over until 1st July doesn't mean he won't get a say in the matter

If he says to the glazers no, I want to keep nani then that would be that

...sorry, I don't think my last comment did justice to what I read in the OP:

10 MILLION EUROS...

TEN MILLION EUROS...

FOR NANI....

It's probably around about the right price with his length of contract.

If reports are right we could let Tevez go for around a similar fee, who also has 12 months on his contract.

Tevez with a good 3 or 4 year contract would demand a fee of £25 - £30m.

Nani around £20m.

To be fair, In Anderson's case, that would be fantastic business of us.

I would sell Anderson for a packet of flame grilled steak McCoys

Lets be realistic. If Nani was all that then United wouldnt hesitate in giving him the contract he wants and he would have better options than Galatasaray and Monaco if rumours are to be believed.

Yes he is probably our most talented winger but that says more about our poor collection of wingers than Nani. Yes he is capable of great things but can also be very inconsistent.

Take the 10m from whowever wants him and move on.

Give him a good run until Decembers TW, then let him go to the highest bidder if it doesn't work-out!

Gave Berbatov away... why not Anderson & Nani. Nice management when it comes to playing,,,but business end,,,United always seems to get ripped off,,,mmmm, well forgetting CR7 & RvP.

thats the worse idea ever

he is free to talk to other clubs come January

posted on 10/6/13

having a player sitting around spending more time texting his agent about a Jan move than focusing on the team is much worse than just taking £8.5m and letting the new manager start working towards the future.

He's a class player and worth a fair bit more than that but with that contract situation & a new manager it's probably not worth keeping him around.

New deal or sell him seem to be the only realistic options.

United always seems to get ripped off

-----------------------------

Hernandez
Vidic
Evra
Park
Ronaldo
[skip a few years]
Irwin
Schmeichel

...I'd say there have been some notable successes getting value for money.

As for recouping money, quite often when a player leaves United it is either clear that the club don't want him any more or the player runs down his contract because he isn't getting enough opportunities. Either way, the price drops. Transfer fees tend to be high when the selling club doesn't really want to sell, in which case they often tie down the player to a long contract. In most of these cases United players don't want to leave anyway, as most moves are downward. In the rare cases where a player we don't want to leave is determined to go, we get a good price - cf. Ronaldo.

...I think we are in a similar position to other clubs at the top of the food chain in this respect. Real Madrid are often letting good players go at below market value.

I stand corrected and I can also concur with the "worst idea ever" statement! Thank fook I'm not in charge of the finances at Utd.

If Man Utd sell Nani, I highly doubt United will compete. United have terrible wingers at present. Valencia is probably worth around 3m at present. Ashley Young a bit more. Nani needs to stay because United can't compete for the best wingers in the world . Sad fact but true.

Onlyone ferguson

I disagree that we cannot compete for the best wingers.

According to many sources we agreed fees for Hazard and Moura, who both opted for ridiculous wages at other clubs.

What other wingers have we been unable to compete for the signings of?

We just won the title and Nani did virtually nothing all season. Just like Valencia and Young. I highly doubt that United are going to capitulate if he leaves.

I think that 8.5m for Nani is about right. He is out of favour at the club and has only 1 year left on his contract. Gala don't offer any threat to us domestically and aren't a big player in Europe, so they are a more attractive destination than most teams that Nani might be happy to move to. If it was Chelsea or Arsenal that he was moving to then you would hope for more like 12-14m for him, but as it is Gala, I think 8.5m is about fair.
