Form Idea?

Also forgot to add there was supposedly "Dream League form" meant to be taken into account when looking at teams and tactics... or at least as far as I was aware during season 1 but it seems that has gone out the window due to many people doing the results which obviously can't be helped

for example's sake I put everyone through the generator and these four came out:

Andre Wisdom
Pepe Reina
Paul Pogba
Diego Godin
Daniel Sturridge
Leo
__________

I know RAP already said it, but

When I can look past this enough to take the article seriously I'll read it

I'm really sorry Tippy, but I'm not in favour

I can't help but think it adds one too many levels of 'subjectivity' to the results; particularly if we introduce Red/Yellow Cards as well. Also, whilst Red/Yellow Cards, Injuries etc are definitive occurances, the notion of 'form' is difficult to put our finger on and would prove difficult to be held to account for and to manage accross a wide array of people doing results.

Additionally, whilst you list some benefits, I can't help but think that Form by detract from the essence of the league - putting your best team together, then seeing (with the help of the fruity) whether you can win. With Form, it could be argued that you would be moving away from this, as managers may feel the need to do swaps/transfers that do not necessarilly befit the policy.

Changing the injury system (perhaps proportionally as RAP suggested) and the introduction of Cards we could manage as an idea to develop the league further, but form wouldn't get a yes from me I'm afraid. Certainly not under it's current guise, and probably not at all as it instinctively doesn't sit well with me.

Tipz

Im against it

Football is a subjective sport and i feel everyone on this league is trying to get everything for this league onto a conveyor belt-esque process. How players should be rated, how results should be determined, how your squads should be assembled and it doesnt sit well with me.

I for one like the fact that many different people do results on this league. Its means that each game will be viewed differently and in-turn means everyone is in with a shout come matchday. Its adds to the unpredictabilty & excitement in this league. Something we used to thrive on

I understand where you are coming from and your idea going forward. I also noticed that form wasnt taken into account this season. I for one also looked at how different players played in prior games before i did results last season. But there also 4 more teams to keep track of this season so it can become abit too much for the person doing the results.

I just feel this is a step too far for next season...maybe season 4

So this goes out to everyone doing results, instead of having a system for determining the form of players. A quick browse maybe through the stats page to see who are the players that have been making an impact within their respective teams. Also i cant talk for everyone but i read the match reports of every game to help get an idea of how certain teams play and how certain managers use certain players so come matchday i have a basic idea of whos who and whos been doing well in certain teams.

So just mental notes to take into consideration when doing results.

Anyways thats my worth. At the end of the day majority rules in this league so votes count

Certainly consistency in who is and isnt rated is a problem but I feel really that teams and tactics epecially are getting stale having seen them throughout the season and I am thinking of a way for people to use their heads a bit
