Yep it's a strange one. Maybe the coaching methods are different to what they were in the past? I'm not too clues up on who is on your coaching staff and whether there have been many changes over the last few years (Bould is the only one I know that has come in recently), but I noticed a decline in areas in our side when Queiroz left, particularly in possession. Agree about Wilshere and Henderson. I don't think Henderson is a particularly talented player, in fact I think he's pretty average, but Rodgers has managed him very well and the player is responding, so credit where it's due.

We had Quique Flores doing the technical commentary on last night's game, was really excellent. Called everything exactly right, from how Atletico were dominating the tempo, to how Madrid would get back into it and how Atletico had a very good chance of equalising late.

On a related topic after reading last night's live thread, Flores also took a swipe at Benzema early on for crowding CR's space, only to end up praising him as one of Madrid's best men for his, quote, "spectacular" off-the-ball movement.

I thought he did well. Was unlucky not to score. He was only on the pitch for about ten minutes, though.

What I find amusing about anything UEFA/FIFA do is how childish so many people seem to be about these things, automatically crying foul whenever a decision is deemed to go in favour of a rival club or, more broadly, Johnny Foreigner, yet tiptoeing over them when they're in their own club's favour.

Think the media also plays a big part in so many people's perceptions on these issues being so skewed.

He looked really good. His first contribution to the game he was played in and took Demichelis on the inside and shot which was going in but for a great block by Fernando and had some decent link up to set up our only other notable chance for bone head Sissoko. I like what I saw of him and hope he gets more time on the pitch v Villa.
