This none highland matchday thread scares and confuses me.
I just read a section of the report from the Charlton game and I can tell you now with 100% confidence. The suspension will stand. The slate will not be wiped clean. The offense was committed non the less.
Fuzzy........sorry i can't get my thread onto your board for some reason
btw The red card stands.................the 3-1 scoreline doesn't
Probably - Can't ask the Football League to apply common sense .
Had he took the guys legs off I'd agree that he must be punished. The fouls were nothing like that.
I c an understand a straight red Fuzzy, but as I understand the rules, the goals and the yellow cards are expunged. If the yellows are expunged then the red should not count. Then again I am applying common sense which is totally missing from the Football authorities.
Either way, the game against Leeds is a Cup game and yes Donny could do with a win in an effort to get a cash bonus. Leeds likewise so to me it is of no consequence I want Donny to win obviously but survival this year after the turbulent goings on in the Football Club is very important, Keegan will serve a one match ban in this cup game and that is the end of the matter, we have others to put a shirt on and Keegs will then be available for Bournemouth game which in my view is more important. The game at Charlton or half game is history (or in this case half history as we only played to half time) so just put it to bed.
The quote from Dickov about the fouls not been dangerous is also ridiculous. Shows how much of an idiot he is. A dangerous tackle may get you a straight red, but it is not a requirement for a dismissal for a second caution-able offense. You could be dismissed for something as simple as dissent and entering the field of play without permission. Both caution-able offenses, which is dangerous? None.
The cards should stand because the offense was committed. The abandonment does not mean the offense wasn't committed.
Pro- we have had your comments on this board before and you continue to show us that you are a pompous little a-rse .
Don't come on here trying to wind us up by insulting our manager - go back to trying to impress your own contributors on the leeds board with your "bigging up of yourself".
What league are you in by the way - Leeds Sunday League (is that a decent level)?
The funny thing about your comment on our player getting the red card is that you say that the offence should stand.
The odd thing is that the yellow card that the Charlton player got wont stand and the caution was given in the same game.
Yellow cards given in an abandoned match are wiped clean - reds are not.
Where is the logic in that?
Are you still refereeing as well?
I bet you are a little Shiite of a ref who tries to belittle players.
A typical Weeds Richard Head Hound, let's see how long it takes him to work that one out. I agree though that if the red card stands then so should the yellows, otherwise it makes no sense.
FIFA rules Ny - "yellow cards are not carried over in an abandonded game if the match is to be replayed".
Article 18. Section 5 (apparently).
I understand Hound, I just don't see the sense in it.
Anyone know the ruling if a player is serving a suspension, would the abandoned game count as a game missed?
Sat in bar, sweating like a pig on a stick. Air con must be to much to turn on.
On the plus side, I should be on nights and have to leave at half time, but got a phone call to say jobs cancelled so have night off haha, bonus.
Must be a good omen Zigger
