Kemlyn road that was the best comment I've read in a very very long time and I have to agree. First time I'm commenting as I only browse ja606.

Kremlyn, fair enough, good points well written and put across.
Lets agree to disagree about rafas long term methods, but the good results (Man U and Real- although i think the 5 against newcastle at christmas was our best performance with him)

Then, i agree with the rest. For a start if we "eke out 1-0 wins" all season we will have won the treble, so im happy with that

The game after 2-0 vs notts seemed more a case of all the players on the pitch, even gerrard himself, getting carried away with how it was going and forgetting/not trying/being naive with their defensive effort/positioning.

The sound of Stevie being manager is great, whether he would be any good, no idea.

I think BR will be our manager for quite a while, though its unpredictable really in the modern game.

I do like him though.

I can understand where the Benitez critics are coming from. For me we were efficient without ever being exciting, a bit like Chelsea under Mourinho first time round.

We had a few stand out games but they were the exceptions. 9/10 games were sterile. This was great for cup football but it wasn't exciting in the grind of the league.

We haven't played well yet this season under BR but its only been 4 games.

Last season we played brilliant football 5 or 6 times and this was in his first season. In his 3rd or 4th season I expect us to be playing brilliant football more regularly, assuming he is given the tools to do so and picks the right players.

He is certainly our most exciting manager since Roy Evans in terms of enjoying the games and the freedom of the play.

Of course we hope for better results in the long term, only time will tell if we get them but I am optimistic.

Well, he is already having to support Woy in this fumbled bid to qualify for Brazil

I get the impression that if Stevie says anything, Woy follows.

He can actually learn more by seeing someone doing a bad job. Woy hasn't got a clue
