It's my favourite game now. World class lived up to the hype.

About 85% of the way through I think, bloody loved it so far. Characters are pretty brilliant, whining between M and T gets a bit boring at one point, but still believable.

Really impressed with the missions, felt a lot of GTA 4 was "filler" i.e. just there to make up the mission count, whereas 5 feels like every mission is incredible.

You've covered all the positives, for me only a couple of "irritables"

- Too easy. My friend told me I have only 4 or 5 main missions left, and yet I've not encountered a mission where I've though "this is tough".

-Linked to the above, I think the shooting is far too easy. Just click to aim, fire, and the enemy is dead. Quite unrealistic, you can stand there with 5 or 6 enemies firing machine guns at you, and just take them down one by one.

- Not using your own car enough. You can "obtain" and customise a really nice car, but hardly ever get to use it during missions. Surely that's the whole point?

For me, 9.4/10.

Superb game, probably one of the top 3 best games ever, although in terms of games rated against their era i.e. Zelda Ocarina of Time, MGS1 , it probably squeezes into the top 7-10

Just seen on another article you can change the shooting style. FFS, wish I'd known that. Could of made the game a little better for me.

I agree in that I wish it had been a bit more difficult, either by gameplay mechanics or by reducing checkpoints. Is there a way to turn them off? On Vice City and San Andreas there were a fair few missions which, on first playthrough at least, were impossible to complete in less than five goes. It's good to be able to go back and replay missions for fun, to obtain a better score and medal or just to try things a different way. On San Andreas I'd keep an extra save slot for if I wanted to replay the casino heist.

The shooting was a bit easy but still very fun, especially combined with special abilities and customisable weapons.

You need the checkpoints as the map is so vast. The mission where you drive the car transporter takes aaaages to get to your destination. If I'd failed that I wouldn't have been best pleased doing it over again!

I would have like more stealth missions as the shooting missions do start to get very easy.

Overall though its a brilliant game. It's stolen the last 10 days of my life and that's been rushing through accepting bronzes on my missions. Once I'm done I think I'm going to start over and try and 100% it. That will take some doing.

Done 48/69 missions.

Looking for to getting stuck in to the last 1/3 of the story.

Typical Chris, letting the console do the work, a la shooting

I've done about 36 missions so far I think

Honestly Gay Pride, if I'd known about changing the shooting setting I would have, would of made it much better for me

Mainly I just go steal a tank and drive round pretending to be RGK

I haven't been in a tank yet

Could you expand a bit on the driving, is it more like in SA, or is it just a tweak to the IV system?

posted on 30/9/13

Tweak to the IV system which is closer to San Andreas, but still obviously more like GTA IV. The cars are less rolly (other than the fact you can use the left stick to roll your car back over which puts paid to the age-old problem of your car teetering onto its roof).
